I actually think this is a pretty miserable thing to do. It isn’t that close up to the London Eye that it’s disadvantaging those who are paying… Just let people find some pockets of joy!

@cmcalister5 @samofsamshire There is a steading with a convenience store, gym, barbers, florist, yoga and bistro all within 5 minutes walk. The old village with tennis, scout hall, inn, bowling club and golf club are within 10 walk. One of the top developments in the country and within 20 mins of Edinburgh

@samofsamshire Still wee bit soulless no village hall, village green, little village shop its houses on outskirts of a real village again rather a proper town. Done ok better than most but we can build like we did in past, where will there is a way.

When I was on the train, I sped past a new development which I later discovered, through a bit of Googling, was named Longniddry Village. Sash windows, slate roofs, Victorian lamp posts… It was such a lovely surprise!

@LNER a number of us are sat on the 17:00 to Edinburgh Waverley and currently stuck at York. The train manager told us we were next to disembark however a later train from King’s Cross to Edinburgh has just departed ahead of us. Can someone please explain why this was the case?

Fundsmith Equity Fund - Not great so far in 2024. Up 6.49% versus 13.8% for a tracker. So 7.3% behind year-to-date. Thoughts? (Up 3.36% since the start of 2022 versus 23.2% for a tracker - close to 20% behind). Beating the market is hard. 1/n.

@fundhunter_co Is t something along the lines of: initially you have 3 one third chances/probabilities. By removing one of the other options you are left with a one third probability for your original choice and a two third probability for the remaining option.
