Educators…there is a moral imperative to dig deeper into the complex issues surrounding the #ABA debate. ALL educators in #onted have used, been trained in or told to implement practices that are based on principles of ABA; since 2007 it has been embedded in ppm 140. #ABAisAbuse

@mmysticrainbow Not maybe. 100% lots of research showing that lack of understanding, discrimination, stigma, gaslighting, impact of having to mask and suppress our authentic ways of being all have a cumulative impact throughout our lifetimes. High masking Autistic women especially at high risk

Autism is not a disease or mental illness. Its a neuro development disability or difference. Having said that, it's common for autistoc people to also live with some form of mental health issues, maybe to some part as a result of the struggle it can be be to live as an autistic person in a neurotypical society not willing to make reasonable adaptations.

@KarenAnnTimm @monadelahooke Yes there is! The results state that ABA is damaging in one out of every three cases, and due to that, there will be a debate soon and places like Amsterdam and Den Haag have decided to cease the usage of ABA. In short? We’re getting results! 👍
