I have a new respect for @patrickgowernz These excerpts (from a longer interview) show a journalist willing to admit he got it wrong - and just how entrenched the mainstream media were in a narrative - at the expense of investigative and balanced journalism. It may have taken a few years to reach this understanding, but if one can do it, perhaps the whole profession can do it.
