@yabbanx That’s because they are allowing a capitalism in a pure form with their manufacturing which allows for innovation and competition. Our car companies have been stagnating because of their own monopolies and greed. Car companies have barely taken risks in the US until Tesla.

@europa396263942 @Rundoff @Jason___YYC Don't you live in Texas? You do not even know how it works. It is Bonds, WHICH ARE VOTED ON. Those bonds are part of a bigger package that improves other parts of the school. Also, Naming rights, Advertising etc help with cost. Revenue from games pays for maintenances.

No they borrow money that is paid back by the extraction of property taxes. They have to service the debt interest and property taxes and school taxes are almost always a majority of taxes not infrastructure or road repair taxes. The taxing authorities have overspent and have to continually assess higher valuations and tax rates to pay for their spending.

China deployed a 1,300-ton data center on the ocean floor off the coast of Hainan. No cooling towers or air conditioning. Just cold seawater doing the job for free. The result? Cooling costs drop from ~50% of total energy to under 10%.

Currently today we are paying over $1 billion a day to fight this war for Israel that’s gonna be a lot more than 19 billion it already is and Congress is asking for another 250 billion for this war of course that’s not a war for us I ran never attacked us. They don’t threaten us, but they do threaten in Israel so when are you gonna say something about that since you’re so hung up on money and how much we spend $1 billion a day for this war so far and 200 billion more on the table… It ain’t for us it’s all for Israel and you know that.

@Microinteracti1 This post tells me you have zero depth of knowledge. Too many generals (and admirals) can indeed bloat the senior ranks, create layered bureaucracy, and dilute clear command authority.

Pete Hegseth has fired twelve generals. Between them, five hundred years of military experience. Desert Storm. Iraq. Afghanistan. Gone. No reason given. In the middle of a war. These weren’t pen-pushers. They were the men who actually know what a ground invasion of Iran looks like. Perhaps they also know something else. That the man now running the Pentagon spent his career behind a Fox News desk rather than a command post. That his qualifications for managing the world’s most powerful military were, broadly speaking, strong opinions and good hair. Funny how they’re exactly the ones Hegseth just removed. Their replacements come with one qualification: complete loyalty to the vision. Five hundred years of hard-won, blood-soaked knowledge. Shown the door by a television presenter. What could possibly go wrong. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

🚨 Do you understand what Oracle just did.. they fired 30,000 people.. via 6 AM email.. while reporting a 95% increase in net income last quarter.. Oracle isn't a struggling company .. Oracle made MORE money than ever.. and still fired 30,000 people because they're spending $156 billion on AI data centres instead.. and Larry Ellison.. the guy who just fired 30,000 families.. is worth $200 billion.. the 3rd richest person on earth.. he owns an entire Hawaiian island.. Lanai.. 98% of it.. bought it for $300 million like it was a vacation home.. this is the same playbook every single time.. IBM fired 7,800 and replaced them with AI in 2023.. Amazon cut 27,000 the same year while reporting record revenue.. Atlassian cut thousands while profits climbed.. Google laid off 12,000 while sitting on $100 billion in cash.. they told you to learn to code.. you learned to code.. they told you to upskill.. you upskilled.. and then they replaced you with the thing you helped build and sent the termination letter before you woke up.. the company made record profits and decided the reward for that was firing the people who made it happen.

Flying from New York to Munich this morning. The pilot made an announcement. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to activate our new Starlink High-Speed Wi-Fi." The American sitting next to me wearing a backward baseball cap immediately opened his laptop, started “building”, and started a loud FaceTime call. "Hey bro! Yeah, I'm at 30,000 feet! This connection is insane!" I felt a migraine forming. I adjusted my seat to the upright position. "Excuse me," I interrupted. He muted his microphone. "What's up, bro?" "It is Dr. Lars," I corrected immediately. "You are committing a cross-border data crime." He laughed. "Bro, it's just Wi-Fi. Chill." I pointed to the flight tracker on my screen. "We have just crossed the coast of Ireland. We are now in European Airspace." "By broadcasting your video, you are capturing my ambient voice and peripheral likeness in the background." "You are transmitting this Personally Identifiable Information (PII) via an uncertified low-earth orbit satellite network directly to a server in California." He looked at me blankly. "Do you have a signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with me?" I asked. "Have I given explicit, revocable consent under Article 9 GDPR to have my biometric data beamed into the Exosphere?" "Dude, I'm just talking to my team," he sputtered. "You are operating an illegal data pipeline," I stated cold. I pressed the flight attendant call button. I demanded the Purser deactivate the aircraft's router immediately. Five minutes later, the Wi-Fi was conveniently "disrupted due to technical difficulties." The American slammed his laptop shut, furious. The cabin returned to its natural, legally compliant state: absolute, undisturbed silence. Americans want "Global Connectivity." We want Data Sovereignty at 30,000 feet.
