Yes. Once we have fixed the damage of the Trudeau wave we should:
- set the per country cap to 2%
- dynamically reduce a country's cap if the people they send us criminals
- ban applying for refugee status in Canada
- abolish IMP/TFW programs
- Change english/french proficiency from being worth points to be automatic disqualifiers if you don't speak either fluently
- curtail family reunification to only spouses and biological children.
- make citizenship require 10 years residency
- abolish birth right citizenship
- remove all welfare benefits from all visa holders until 10 years of residency (if we abolish the charter never give them welfare)
- any crime, even as small as a regulatory offence, ends in deportation for non-citizens
- PR status is revoked after 5 year if an adult migrant has not had a job.
We can discuss exact numbers for immigration caps at a future date but these regulations I think are necessary to ensure quality immigration going forward.
