BREAKING: Israel is now bombing Syria’s capital city of Damascus. At the same time, Israel continues pounding Lebanon and the West Bank. No sanctions. No condemnations. No consequences. Just silence and complicity.

BREAKING: Israel is blowing up entire civilian apartment buildings in South Lebanon, in the middle of the night—despite a “ceasefire”. No reason. No justification. Just pure terror and destruction. A war crime. And, of course, not a peep from the international community.

Israel's decision to send troops into Lebanon, a sovereign nation, is not a "limited ground operation". It is an invasion. Our government's hypocrisy is on full display. Its failure to defend international law and stand up to Israel is a moral disgrace.

Note to my media colleagues “invasion” not “ground incursion” is what Israel is doing to Lebanon when its troops enter the sovereign country. This isn’t some cute little day trip, so why use language that sanitises brutality?

I keep seeing “it’s because of hezbollah”Hezbollah didn’t exist when they bombed our lands in 1950s. Hezbollah are part of the Lebanese government, like it or not. Say LEBANON. This is LEBANON. They’re not bombing “Hezbollah” they’re bombing Lebanese civilians & lands.

Hundreds have been killed in Lebanon overnight in the worst attacks since the civil war. Keeping humanitarian workers safe in conflict zones is important, but what is Labor doing to end the conflict? They must put pressure on Netanyahu to end the invasion and end the genocide.

The indiscriminate bombings in Lebanon are proof that the Israeli government has total disregard for the safety of innocent people and children. In any other context, Western governments would call these terror attacks. My heart goes out to all Lebanese community right now.
