I still think Virginia Democrats’ best argument is this: our current congressional map took race into consideration. Under the recent SCOTUS ruling, that raises a federal constitutional problem. If so, the state constitutional objections become moot, and Virginia needs a new congressional map.

If a future Democratic trifecta (LOL) does decide to pack SCOTUS, I think they should couple it with a constitutional amendment for 18 year term limits and cap the number at 13 permanently to prevent Republican retaliation

@rkylesmith I will assume she write all her lyrics (absent "tweaks") but I am reliably assured than when a songwriter is co-credited on a Swift song, they are the musical composers. All those melodies you associate with "Taylor Swift" were written by anonymous pros.

This same - entirely valid - complaint applies in equal measure to Taylor Swift, and there's a conspiracy not to mention it. She is *half* a songwriter - the less impressive half, her utterly mundane lyrics - at best.
I'm sorry, but if you need pros to write your hit MUSIC - the beats, the hooks, the things that *make* a hit - you're a pop idol, not a songwriter. Even if you're making hip-hop, the ethos is the same: You are not self-contained.
