then make sure you can run vulkan, LLAMACPP etc. on it

Wow, RISC-V is really gaining traction again.
Alibaba just announced the Xuantie C950…which is basically claiming Apple M1 (ish) levels of performance.
I don’t see a lot of people talking about it!
(2.6/Ghz SPECint2017, Apple M1 P-core also around ~2.6)

@somewheresy I'm okay with this if it prevents those stations from broadcasting Weiss/Ellison stuff going forward—our beloved KYW will survive without the CBS tie since they already broke with KYW-TV towards getting content elsewhere (like WCAU-TV) years ago.

i was forced against my will to upgrade to ios 26 and now the keyboard has round corners but only sometimes depending which app you’re in. also everything feels super big did the icons get bigger am i going insane. also why is it lagging when i type.

I don't know who needs to hear this but GitHub stars are not a measure of usefulness. They're not even a measure of widespread consistent use. They're a measure of one time visibility with time based fixed effects that inflate later numbers due to the larger userbase of GitHub.

The other bill, HB2321 is the terrible one that requires closed source slicers and would destroy the consumer 3D printing market. That bill is currently dead

WA HB 2320 has been sent to the governor to sign into law. I have no doubt he will sign it.
Once this is law, it sets precedent for similar bills in other states. THIS makes the slope very slippery.

Damn, they actually passed it? Unlicensed operation of 3D printers and CNCs is now a felony in Washington? I get that it's fashionable to hate manufacturing in some places but how many kids and FIRST robotics teams are going to end up with criminal records because of this?

Is there a GPU equivalent to what RISC-V represents for CPU ISAs? I mean an open/standardized GPU ISA that hardware vendors could implement independently.
