@orlandosentinel In theory yes biosimilar landscape should reduce costs. But when PBM sets rebated formulary and the brand gives rebate under biosimilar cost plan sponsors don’t save on those products. Remove all rebates from drug spent and you’ll achieve lowest cost.

@SafeMedicines @BoesingLoretta Stelara initial dose is in office infusion then every 56 days thereafter so you’ll continue to take losses on those refills. The question really is why are plans paying WAC-5% on all specialty as you’ll notice it’s not just those two products.

@SafeMedicines @BoesingLoretta We dispense both. Florida Medicaid managed care plans like Sunshine pay WAC-5% so you’ll take a significant loss based on COGs at WAC-2.5%. But it depends on the managed care plan.

@pharmacists @APhACEO “provider status” is great, but pharmacist need protection from the abusive employers that would use the new status as just another means to increase their own profits while not providing any extra ancillary help to deal with the increased workloads and the associated metrics.
