While in San Clemente this afternoon, I had an opportunity to view the stabilization work along the coastal rail line in San Clemente beneath Casa Romantica. It’s incredible to see the amount of work it takes to address resiliency issues from our built environment amidst coastal erosion, climate change, and severe weather. Great work by @goOCTA, @MetrolinkOC , and @CitySanClemente to ensure trains and freight can operate safely. As these short-term solutions are completed, we must not lose sight of an overall, long-term vision of a Southern California rail network that is fast, frequent, and compelling mobility option for generations.

Instead of 915 housing units of which half were affordable, this mixed use project in Harlem was denied by Councilwoman @Kristin4Harlem for fears of gentrification. It will now become a “truck stop for big rigs” in a neighborhood with some of the worst asthma rates in the city.

Today on the 405 in Los Angeles. We are waiting @adidas.
