You do realize that every nation gives the same amount right? I believe it’s 12% of GDP. We aren’t overly funding, we’re providing the amount we agreed upon when the charter was signed. As does every other member. Solution? Either re-negotiate the amounts, or drastically lower our GDP. I doubt anyone wants the 2nd option And if you go with the first option, then we will still, as you put it, “overly fund” because we still have a larger GDP than any other member.

I can promise this: The Senate will not vote to leave NATO and abandon our allies just because Trump is upset they wouldn’t go along with his reckless war of choice.   Thank you to @SecRubio for sponsoring the bill in 2023 requiring a two thirds vote of the Senate to make sure clueless presidents couldn’t act on a whim.
