If she was struck IN the intersection, then she would have been in or near a crosswalk. Was she like 2 feet outside of it, or did her body just land outside of it? Please be responsible in your reporting!

@MyFDOT_SEFL @MartinCountygov Yup, totally normal @FDOT_Secretary, anyone who looks at this crash/death map for pedestrians would say, "You know what this needs? A new MORE dangerous road configuration"

✔️ The U.S. 1 project at the Treasure Coast Square Mall south entrance in @MartinCountygov was completed June 16! This project provided a fourth continuous northbound thru/shared right-turn lane between Britt Road and Jensen Beach Boulevard, improving northbound U.S. 1 traffic.

@MyFDOT_SEFL If FDOT standards were followed as you claimed, why weren't bike lanes or a multi-use trail included in this? Those are part of the MANDATORY standards

@MyFDOT_Miami And thank you for doing this and recording it (though as you said the wind made it difficult). I feel one of the most telling things was whomever kept being only concerned about motorist "cuing" or "waiting" instead of....SAFETY!

One of the most common road crashes is called the “Right Hook”. When approaching a turn with bicyclists nearby, motorists should slow down, drive behind the bicyclists and turn once bikers have safely made it through the intersection.

This morning representatives from @MyFDOT_Miami @MiamiBeachNews @senpizzo & @MidBeachNA community met to discuss the upcoming resurfacing + safety improvement project along #CollinsAve. We are advocating for inclusion of bicycle lanes & a more contextually sensitive design.

Irrigation installation has been completed in the median at Powerline Road and NW 59th Court in @FTLCityNews. Improvements include constructing a directional median, installing a traffic signal, street lighting, and milling and resurfacing. @SpeakUp_Broward

⚠️BOLO for Hit & Run Vehicle⚠️ Any info on a White, VW Jetta, 2019 or newer, missing right side mirror cover? Vehicle struck a bicyclist on SR 21 near SR 23 and fled scene. Bicyclist severely injured. Occurred on 5/26/21-5:40pm. Call *FHP or First Coast CrimeStoppers w/ info.

Here's another crash from this past week. This week alone we've had at least three crashes where cars end up on our sidewalk on Biscayne Blvd. Oh, the irony with this sign! @GovRonDeSantis @MyFDOT @FDOT_Secretary .
