We need to have real conversations about ADR. Y’all should stop pretending. Lawyers are the number one reason why ADR cannot effectively happen. Courts simply do not have time for meaningful ADR, all they want is rushed Reports and Consents to be able to file their returns. ADR requires the basic principles of Ubuntu. You cannot have an effective ADR system without having the basic tenets of the Ubuntu philosophy. Short of that, we will keep having this conversation for decades.

@AndrewMwenda @KagutaMuseveni @mkainerugaba Notice the language, you will notice that certain individual have been given so much access, & thus a certain level of self importance, to think they should influence certain inputs in the system. It probably explain the same pattern of singleling out the vexed CEO by then.

I would like to thank @KagutaMuseveni for finally saving Uganda Airlines by firing its corrupt and incompetent CEO. I also thank @mkainerugaba whose intervention was decisive. It will be great if former Ethiopian Airways CEO, Gilma Wake, takes over as chairman of the board and the current CEO of the same airline, whose contract in Addis Ababa ends this June, takes over as CEO. We also need a new much more competent board. Today is a day for Ugandans to celebrate. All the good, competent and patriotic staff of UA who had been fired will be returned. Those who were working inside and provided us all the needed information will be rewarded. And all those who colluded with the corrupt management to swindle our airline will be brought to book.

In whichever case let them prove.

@UtdFaithfuls Am I the only one who feels they won't do much even if he joins them.. Football doesn't work like that, we've seen this type of scenario before.. Take a look at Real Madrid last season we all thought they would be unstoppable after Mbappe joined but it was Barca who did the most

@FERDINANDIUS It's a customary marriage, I had 3 wives. The lawyer assisted me in divorcing the 1st, but he has married the 2nd—without my knowledge or divorce, she is still my wife though.

@SpireJim Some times, assumed self importance, have led many to think, they’re infallible—the measure of right and wrong, mostly subconsciously—thus critic, or ideas that do not align with theirs shld be less. But any way all ideas are subjective—what you will “Block”—I may not.

THE LOGIC OF BLOCKING ———— I’m an ardent supporter of blocking stupid people and those earning from defence of the suffering of innocent others. A stupid person is one that cannot be engaged in debate - either because they are incapable of thinking or are dogmatically tied to a stupid position. Some of those will only come in to insult or utter things insensitive to the pain of others. Just like for those paid to be stupid, it is futile to try to engage them in rational discussion. That is why they can’t be defended on grounds of tolerance of different opinion. Difference of opinion is very okay and often gives rise to new ideas. Philosophy has always thrived on critique and disagreement. There are several people I disagree with that I never block; because even in our disagreement with them I learn something. I do not support blocking another simply because you disagree in argument. But stupidity is not a different opinion, it is lack of it. To keep stupidity around you is to promote it and to hinder meaningful debate. It makes stupid people feel entitled to their stupidity, and to start looking at it as a right - while harming others. Stupidity adds nothing to any space, apart from proving its existence. As for the bots, blocking them helps to deny them a chance to do their dirty work. They are often expected to account. Every comment of theirs is accountability, even better when it attracts responses. Once blocked everywhere, they’ll have nothing to report as their labour. Don’t entertain them with responses that help them appear to be working hard. Identify and block on first sight. If they’re harmless (rarely), just ignore. But ‘once in a while’ you may get one and thoroughly discipline him in their currency. They’re not hard to identify. If you have a minute, after reading a suspicious comment, check the account of the commenter to see the kinds of things they routinely tweet and retweet. You’ll easily tell, for there is hardly any sophisticated one. One of the reasons they end up in that ‘job’ is because they’re largely unemployable where thinking is required.
