As head of Joint Capability Group, she's been instrumental in elevating thinking on new operational domains such as 'Space' and 'Cyber', and emerging technologies, to a new higher level. She'll be a fantastic 'CA' for the ADF and for Australia. A good choice for @DefenceAust .

She is th first non combat corps officer to be appointed to the role. It’s always infantry, armour or artillery. Do you expect that it’s a coincidence that th first non combat corps CA just happens to be a female. I’m sure she is a highly capable woman but her appointment to a position historically reserved for combat corps by a government that is obsessed with gender issues and quotas is questionable.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

Just a post to recognise the bravery of Brittany Higgins and Grace Tame. It may seem random but it is not. Today, the Grace Tame Foundation board revealed Grace's legacy organisation will close. This news is devastating. We need more small activist-led NFPs and charities working to end violence against women and children in Australia. They can make a real difference where larger organisations cannot. I have no doubt Grace's voice will never be silenced and she will forge her legacy under her own steam. But still, to lose the foundation is a blow and one that will take time to heal from. Also today, the final chapter closed (legally speaking) for Brittany, with the High Court of Australia throwing out rapist Bruce Lerhmann's final attempt at retribution and for silencing her.
