The White Dragon flag is one of the oldest emblems of the English ethnic people - a banner reaching back around 1,500 years, to the dawn of England itself. Long before the Norman invasion, before the lion or the Union Jack, the White Dragon flew over the early Christian kingdoms of Wessex, Mercia, and Northumbria, representing courage, purity, and divine protection.
Chroniclers such as Geoffrey of Monmouth wrote of the red and white dragons locked in battle - the red for the ancient Britons, the white for the English. That white dragon became the emblem of our nation and our ancestry, the symbol of a people forged in this land, united by faith, language, and blood.
When you see this flag, you’re looking at a banner that’s at least 1,500 years old, carried by our forefathers who built the churches, tilled the fields, defended the homeland, and passed down a living heritage that still runs in our veins today.
It’s not just a flag - it’s a symbol of English ancestry, English ethnicity, and the unbroken spirit of a people who have never lost their identity.

Fly it proudly - let the White Dragon rise once more over England.
Guns!
Guns on swords!
Guns on axes!
Guns on maces!
We even put guns on guns! Wait... that's just a gun by itself... stupid idea, it will never catch on. 😤
@TicketmasterUK are you having issues with payments I been trying to pay for my missed payment plan for Leeds for days and it keeps declining saying my bank is the issue. Bank has said not them.
The US Navy is in absolute panic mode. A naval expert reveals Washington is desperately strapping every available machine gun and missile defense system onto their massive carriers because they are terrified of unstoppable Iranian drone swarms.
@JonoCC The problem with using additional Type-31’s to replace Batch 1 River-Class is the mainly the cost difference 1 Type-31 cost nearly the same as 2 Batch River-Class. It would be better idea to replace all Rivers with one design. Like a Multi-Purpose Corvette like vessel.
The Batch 1 Rivers have served admirably; they do however need to be replaced, something which the MoD should be well advaned on (they aren't).
Options include:
No replacement (most lilkey)
Additional T31 order (2-3 at most)
New design (Arrowhead 120 to derisk Swedish order)
The new-generation 🇫🇷 aircraft carrier will be named “France Libre”
310m long, 80,00 tonnes, it will be the biggest naval vessel in Europe
The France Libre, a nod to the Resistance, will replace the Charles de Gaulle in 2038
Dennis Ritchie created C in the early 1970s without Google, Stack Overflow, GitHub, or any AI ( Claude, Cursor, Codex) assistant.
- No VC funding.
- No viral launch.
- No TED talk.
- Just two engineers at Bell Labs. A terminal. And a problem to solve.
He built a language that fit in kilobytes.
50 years later, it runs everything.
Linux kernel. Windows. macOS.
Every iPhone. Every Android.
NASA’s deep space probes.
The International Space Station.
> Python borrowed from it.
> Java borrowed from it.
> JavaScript borrowed from it.
If you have ever written a single line of code in any language, you did it in Dennis Ritchie’s shadow.
He died in 2011.
The same week as Steve Jobs.
Jobs got the front pages.
Ritchie got silence.
This Legend deserves to be celebrated.
I love this charming little personal anecdote from the historian Peter Charanis.
In 1912, when he was just four years old, Greek troops landed on the island of Lemnos (his birthplace) during the First Balkan War. Peter and his friends ran to see the soldiers, whom the locals called "Hellenes". One of the soldiers noticed the group of curious children staring and asked, "What are you looking at?" A child answered, "At Hellenes" The soldier smiled and said, "Aren’t you Hellenes yourselves?" Without missing a beat, the child replied:
"No, we are Romans!" (Rhomaioi)
Sir Walter Raleigh led a truly extraordinary life...
- Born to the lower landed gentry, with family relations to the Grenvilles, Drakes, and Gilberts.
- Took part in the colonisation of Ireland
- Rose to become a favourite of Queen Elizabeth's
- Organised the colonisation efforts of the ill fated Roanoke Colony
- Secretly married one of the Queen's ladies in waiting, resulting in his imprisonment in the Tower of London
- Popularised Tabacco smoking
- Helped in the defence against the Spanish Armada
- Searched for the Lost City of Manoa (El Dorado)
- Arrested on Treason charges for allegedly planning to oust King James I
- Wrote poetry and a history of the world whilst imprisoned
- Upon release from the Tower immediately organised another El Dorado expedition
- His expedition attacked Spanish possessions in the New World resulting in his arrest, Again!
- Beheaded outside the Palace of Westminster after giving a 45 min speech
And the last words uttered by the indomitable Raleigh were to his rather hesitant executioner:
"What dost thou fear? Strike, man, strike!"
My future wife and I, plan to go Venice once we get married end of March & whilst we eat, drink & get lost wandering the canals I will be looking good in this beautiful shirt!
Cheeky honeymoon in Venice with future Mrs Winks 😍 @VeneziaFC_IT
There have been thousands of generations of humans, and you are alive to witness the first photo of a sunset on another world. This is a real photo of a sunset on Mars.
🚨BREAKING 🇺🇸🇬🇧
The United States has deployed 14 C 17 Globemaster transport aircraft along with two heavily armed AC 130J Ghostrider helicopters to key air bases in the United Kingdom.
This is not a routine movement. Strategic airlift and gunship power arriving together usually signals preparation, not presence.
So what mission is taking shape behind the scenes?
