@GMB @lornashaddick NO out of hours doctors here. 111 are call handlers. We need doctors, not systems. With a sudden, serious eye condition, I had to go through 7 (seven!) ineffectual health assistants. I eventually got myself (!) to hospital, 16 miles away. 1 local doctor was what I needed.

Millions of people are turning up at A&E departments in England with minor ailments, including hiccups, blocked noses and coughs. The latest NHS figures suggest emergency departments are being swamped with patients who should be seen elsewhere. @lornashaddick with more.

🆘 Britain isn’t broken, it’s being asset-stripped. Brexit turned Britain into a cruise ship moored in Europe, but owned offshore, cutting services to boost profits while passengers are told there’s no money.
