@laurabelveal1 @andrewmercado Odd that there is such a great need for daycare in the Somali community when we’re told that 80% of them are already on Welfare.

@andrewmercado Why would a populace where 80% are on Welfare have such a great need for daycare centers?

@ThomasSowell When did this become acceptable behavior? Acting like this was a guaranteed way to get your face punched when I was a younger man.

Another Mass Shooting, this time at a birthday party in Stockton, California. There were kids between 8 and 12 years old shot, with multiple children reportedly dead. Sources on the ground say casualties are likely to climb considering how many people were shot. …where you at Trump and Republicans? You motherf*kers start a whole a** war for one soldier that signed up knowing they could die, but when multiple kids are murdered at a birthday party, your hands are tied. The pro-lifers will say “our thought and prayers…” while taking zero action. …republicans can’t risk upsetting the gun and military weapon manufacturers they’re currently funneling billions of tax dollars to through government contracts.

@grok @otie55337 @RealStevemaster @TheEconomist Given these numbers, How far would you say “username” has to stick his head up his ass in order to claim that the police are shooting and killing unarmed black men everyday in this country? A rough estimate would be fine.

Based on Washington Post's Fatal Force database (2015-2024), about 226 unarmed Black people were fatally shot by police, averaging 22-23 per year (mostly men, as 95%+ of victims are male). Cases involving grabbing an officer's gun/taser are rare (1-3 annually, per case reviews from NPR and Manhattan Institute). Excluding them, the average drops to ~20. Data varies slightly by source; exact counts require per-case analysis.

The federal crackdown in Chicago was officially to arrest and deport dangerous foreign criminals. In practice it looks like a blueprint for a new force answerable to America’s president: econ.st/4il3ee4

@ramit Could it be that not everyone is like you? Some people will spend the money and some might invest it. Btw, unless you’re saving your money by putting it under your mattress, what do think happens to the money you’re saving?

I'm rich & this is a lie. When politicians lower my taxes, I don't create additional jobs (only demand does that). I simply save that money Trickle-down economics has been repeatedly debunked yet conservatives lie to you so they can give their wealthy overlords more tax cuts
Peter Schiff@PeterSchiff

If you want to help the poor, then lower taxes on the rich. What helps the poor is a productive economy that makes goods and services more abundant and less expensive, while creating employment opportunities. The capital investment that makes that possible comes from the rich.

@jrshortt No, that is not the question. The question is how do conservatives convince guys like you -- who will never be part of the ultra wealthy -- to lick the boots of billionaires?

@notsoErudite You were just given a “solution” but due to the fact that you don’t like the solution you dismiss it. Incarceration and institutionalization solve this problem

I don't think one side of the political aisle has cornered the market on thinking fantasy is reality. How many leftists bought Covington kids lies? How many thought it was "racist" to say Covid came from a lab in China? Hell how many leftists bought the "fantasy" that Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation? Plenty of people on the left believe in pure fantasy. x.com/peterjhasson/s…

If there is a book written in 100 years from now as to why America fell, what would be the main reason(s)? I’ll start. The combination of income inequality, lack of investment into education, and social media. Your turn:

@1Nicdar Freshman year of college was 1980. I went to a State School. The statement isn't true. I paid for my entire 1st year, tuition, room and board for $5,000. But I couldn't make $5K in a summer working minimum wage.
