Cosplay socialist "economists" can’t even land their own argument. The wealthy don’t just pay more in total, they pay a higher percentage too. So the complaint isn’t about correcting a bad metric, it’s about inventing a new one every time reality doesn’t cooperate. This isn’t about fairness, reason, or morality. It’s just blind obsessive resentment. The “standard” is whatever justifies taking more from whoever has more, nothing principled, nothing consistent. Apply that logic anywhere else and it’s obvious what it is. Different rules based on who you are isn’t fairness. It’s discrimination with better branding.
