@Countryclub_Rep @TrueSlazac Yeah but Fox had decent polling in the last month running up to the election. They basically were on par with Nate Silver and both predicted a toss-up tilting towards a Trump win. Like there are less than ten better polling firms better than the ones Fox hire.

Fox News being fairly neutral and unbiased when it comes to polling and election predictions will always be a bit funny

@KenGardner11 Leaks are because of maybe one of two reasons 1) the anti war contingent in WH is leaking to dissuade or 2) Trump is behind the leaks so as to try to get his desperate deal.

Yeah this ain't happening. Sorry to break it y'all. Ossoff ain't winning by double digits. Brown isn't winning in general (and if somehow does it's gonna be by like 10k votes). Cooper won't win by 9. Turek is also unlikely to win at all. Fox News polls always overestimate Dems.

@mbeisen What is sometimes failed to be mentioned is that the possible lab leak theory was accompanied by a lot of racist attacks on Asian people. A lot of the push back initially was in that context.

Amidst all this discussion of the COVID origin docs released recently by the Senate committee, I remain dumbfounded by the CONTINUED lack of interest of the scientific community into where this pandemic came from. Whatever you think about the motivations of the people who wrote the Proximal Origins paper (and the documents certainly call those into question), the effect of this on the scientific community writ large was to signal that the official stance was "natural origin" and that any questioning of that claim, let alone investigations into it, were anti-science conspiracy theories. I'm hardly a lab leak proponent - I've said all along that my prior was natural origins, although that's shifted a bit with subsequence disclosures - but it was really quite ugly how even being publicly open to the possibility of lab leak was treated as an apostasy - despite the fact that many scientists agreed in private. I hope scientists - especially those with political or other influence - will reflect on this and when called upon to discuss scientific issues of great public import will place far less emphasis on "controlling the narrative" and instead will emphasize protecting public inquiry and being personally open minded.

Not a criminal lawyer, but doesn’t the Biden pardon mean that he loses this right and must therefore testify? He can’t incriminate himself for potential crimes for which he has already been pardoned?
