Now audiences expect more than just impressive visuals. Characters people can connect with. Strong storytelling. Emotion that stays. People say AI filmmaking is bad for the environment because of compute. Fair. But let’s compare honestly. A small traditional feature averages around 391 metric tons CO₂e. Medium: 769. Large: 1,081. Tentpole films can hit around 2,840–2,996 metric tons CO₂e. That’s before pretending flights, hotels, trucks, diesel generators, sets, catering, and crew transport don’t exist. AI video isn’t impact-free. Data centers use real electricity and water. But acting like traditional filmmaking is automatically “cleaner” because it uses real cameras is not serious.

You can’t imagine how many AI creators have a day job! If you are one of those creators. What’s your job beyond AI?

Let’s hope they figure out the duplication of characters in the background thing because that’s driving me fooking insane.

@Framer_X Agreed. I think I'd be farther along if I had done this - instead, I went all in - like I do with all things and made it a lot harder on myself. Sure, I won a couple awards here or there - but I'm not getting daily content out - which has hurt my reach for sure.

One of the biggest mistakes beginner AI creators make is trying to create a long-form animation (3–5 minutes or even longer) way too early. It’s tempting to finally tell that story you’ve had in your head for years - especially once you discover how insanely fun AI animation is. But jumping into a big project before mastering the technical side, pacing, and direction is usually a huge mistake. Imagine spending 4 weeks making a 10-minute animation, burning through your hard-earned money on credits… only to realize barely anyone watched it till the end because the story was weak or the characters/scenes felt inconsistent due to lack of experience. That feeling is brutally demotivating.

@FugazyFilmsAI If you like animation per se it is a masterpiece, and layouts are very good too.

I'm finishing up Jujutsu Kaisen and it's a masterpiece of such caliber (layouts, animation, lighting, VFX) that it made me want to make some battle shonen scenes. I started this scene, but I suddenly got hit with a ton of work and couldn't finish it. So, I'm going to post what I have so far—if you want me to finish the fight, let me know in the comments or repost! Since my Japanese friends were the ones who made my last post take off, I've decided to post this during their timezone to show my appreciation. @vikthors_ Anthaar is a fun character with a bunch of one liners like that. Ideally, this will be 100% human voice actors but there have been challenges with the guilds. We’ll see how it goes.
