We don’t really do much if you think about it. Besides medicine advancements (which the Terminator doesn’t need), we are still just blacksmithing and stacking a different mud on top of mud. The monkey from 2001: A Space Odyssey picking up the bone is as far as we have gotten. A GC/MS may seem impressive, but once enough materials have been tested, extreme alloy research machines like Omega lasers will not be required as long as the AI deems itself sustainable. They are not a threat, but more of an existential tragedy. I believe there is more of a chance of it bowing out rather than attacking. There is no logical reason for it to.

It's beyond debate in my view (I don't literally mean that, it's just one-sided) that ASI will be able to toast all of us after it has billions of robots and runs the majority of the economy.
The real question is: why would it kill us, instead of study us. Us, whose society and ecosystem is the most complex thing in the known universe. The best possible training data.
So far, every doomer idea about this smuggles "it's likely" in with "it's possible."
You can go to the pound right now, get a dog, and toast it. Easy. Free. But you don't. And those who do are typically not the smartest. There must be a why.
Before you answer... remember... the ASI will be smarter than you. Don't give it one-liner lizard motives, please.

@VictorInFocus Thank you, brother. I’ve come across your art many times on my timeline. You have a great eye.

@BestMovieMom This movie had some truly great scenes, but overall it was a 6/10.

@chrisbosh Being bored is an important part of life. Although you are doing nothing, it pushes you to want and do more.

When was the last time you sat down with no phone, no TV, no noise, and just let yourself think? Not to solve anything. Not to plan anything. Just to sit. Most of us haven’t done that in longer than we’d like to admit. This week I wrote about why that matters more than we realize. Try it today. Five minutes. Just you and the quiet. See what comes up.

One of the biggest holes in gaming is the hole left behind by Mirrors Edge. Easily one of the most influential games of the 360 era.

The leg press gives you a free steel back. It’s very dangerous to have that kind of muscle imbalance from the back to the legs unless you are a bodybuilder who doesn’t move much. Great excercise for building leg muscle, but also makes you prone to all kinds of injuries along your lower back. Would recommend a smith machine squat with low weight over it.

@RetroCoast Homologation laws should be removed too. Having to wait for a superbillionaire to crash 150 of the same car so it can be sold is ridiculous.

@DallasDHom That’s at least 1 pair of shoes per month. Get that wallet ready!

@CAMELCASTOff Guy I worked with had 300 blackberries. He would get a new one from insurance and send back a box with nothing in it. They never mentioned it once 😂😂

My buddy in High School would charge kids $50 bucks to repair the red ring. All he did was buy a new Xbox 360 at Walmart, crack it open, trade the internals out, swap the shells, then return it. Did it over 100 times and no one batted an eye.

@SwedishRealEst @GlobalWatchClub Yes, but I’m just explaining the marketing which was mentioned in the original post. I agree with you.

@Fully_Looted @GlobalWatchClub You know a driver pushing a GT/F1 car to the limit doesn’t actually wear a RM while doing so, yes?
