@AlokPatel @streetfrontier Separated guideway (like BRTS). LRT and trams are used interchangeably generally. Grade separated LRT is what we should aim for

@streetfrontier No one has explained to me how trams on streets will magically part all peak hour traffic like Moses with the sea to lead tram riders through WEH intersection, Kalanagar intersection, BKC intersection.

You might not like the PM or his political party, but to appeal to people from other countries to "humiliate" the PM while he is on an official trip is just flat out asshole behaviour. Anyone who supports this is the same. He is the PM of India. He represents India. Asking foreigners to humiliate him is asking them to humiliate the office of the PM and in turn India. I am at a loss to describe how pathetic this kind of behaviour is.
Dhruv Rathee@dhruv_rathee

Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes. He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader. I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.

@PowerTrain_YT It is a good and cheap solution for 3 lakh to 10 lakh population cities. Build it as trunk routes (like metros) with buses still doing last mile

@amitsurg Thank you for following lane discipline. Only complaint was you were going faster than cars to your right, but honestly that is not your fault. So once again thank you for following lane guidance :)

Traversed the missing link yesterday. At least half an hour if not an hour (considering it was Saturday) saved by not having to go across Lonavala in heavy traffic.

@MH04Thane At this point, let them. Let them suffer the consequences. Let other areas of MMR become more liveable than Thane and let people move out of Thane over decades. These fuckers deserve to suffer slow property rates death

4 things in this case 1) They haven't read the DPR 2) They don't know what a DPR is 3) They don't have any real issues to present 4) The DPR is approved by TMC MH Gov and Central Gov so they should stick to saying we dont want metro at our place instead of bragging nonsense

Someone wrote this with ChatGPT prompt sitting inside an AC car that people walking 20-30 km especially in Summers and rains is beneficial 😭 Please stick to giving environmental reasons while opposing public welfare projects 😭🙏🏻

@BhagwaanUvacha Cannot. State governments do not have the right to levy taxes, except for liquor and fuel. There is no state income tax. GST also is decided by the council, not individual states, even though each state is represented in the council

India needs to build an opensource, end to end encrypted, AI and quantum safe, messaging app. In India, unfortunately due to politics, more than half the country won't trust any closed software by any party - govt or private. So opensource is key. The current strategy of trying to promote one or the other private player (especially when they keep posting pro-govt) is not going to work. Instead of giving away India's data to US and other companies, at the least India can ensure its citizens get truly encrypted communications that can't be eves dropped and their apps used for anti-India operations. Doing this is not a big deal if @GoI_MeitY wishes. There are already good opensource projects that can be taken and customized for India.

most brain-dead take by the residents. "instead of reducing congestion, the proposed internal metro could worsen the situation because several stations are planned within densely populated residential areas along Ghodbunder Road" - metro has to be as close to traffic generation point like schools, offices, residences etc.. it makes it effective, encourages more to take transit. "Is there really a need for a ₹12,200-crore ring route metro for Thane?" - yes, because the alternatives like flyovers, tunnels etc.. are much worse for the society, and the environment, and won't fix the root cause. "instead of spending the money on an internal metro, allocating ₹1,000 crore to strengthen public transport and introduce electric buses could significantly ease congestion" - metro system serves an entirely different purpose than buses. they don't get stuck, are reliable due to dedicated corridor, carry higher capacity etc.. yes, buses are important, but its like comparing apples to oranges. Mumbai/Thane human density needs Metro. buses alone won't make the cut. these are pics from the signature campaign. the points raised here are mainly construction related which can be handled by metro agency(including tree transplantation and later re-greening). residents will need to temporarily endure pain for larger gain in terms of improved mobility, and property appreciation. The metro line will also substantially improve the lives of those who currently have no voice or platform to support it.

@the_meursault_ @Kuma50531Kumar Only in WEH and Marol Naka because of land acquisition issues. Dahisar East has interchange w/o retapping. BKC (yellow+aqua), T2 airport (red, aqua, gold), Kapurbawdi (green+orange) all will be inside the same building (can go on site of construction and check)

It is reasonable request only if you have raised your voice against OMCs and Govt enjoying massive windfall gains during a very long 4-year period when the crude oil price crashed to $40-60 a barrel. If you're one of those apologists who took great pleasure at people's misfortune and laughed at them when govt collected huge amount of taxes without passing the benefit to ordinary citizens, then your views are very unreasonable.

I am shocked that the government is not increasing the rates of Petrol. This is not a sensible decision. Let the market function. Increase rates dear Prime Minister. This is going to ruin our oil companies.
