When I was a teacher I wish I knew how to limit sickness. gofund.me/f7437a4d9 Since schools are such a hotbed for viral spread, in early next week I will begin contacting as many education ministers, commissioners, school districts, trustees, teachers unions, principals, and even teachers to share relevant information with them before and during the opening of schools. The push to educate those who educate is vital because not only is Covid dangerous for the student population but it is known that teaching/education worker is the most at risk profession, often interchangeable with healthcare workers, for Long Covid and other post Covid conditions. We will have to give raw information about the damage that Covid can cause to students and educators, provide some strategies for mitigation and risk reduction such as air filtration, mask use, and on site education, as well as bring attention to the increased costs associated with unchecked Covid spread within school systems. The immune damage that Covid causes has also led to extended outbreaks of other viruses, more sick days for both staff and students, and these are impacts that parents, staff, and administrators need help connecting the dots to. Along with emails and phone calls, I will also be creating videos and posts regarding back to school and viral safety and pushing to popularize the idea of limiting sickness so that we can limit illness, disruptions to consistency, and excess financial burden. This will be highly time consuming and if you would like to support my efforts it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the support, YerAweSum. #teacher #summer #school

Y'all are going to have to stop naming your cats Miso and Mochi man cut it out

Why do doctors not tell their vulnerable patients (eg cancer patients, the elderly, those with pre-existing conditions) to protect themselves from Covid? Of course everyone is vulnerable, but those who are 'officially' vulnerable, why aren't they told to be careful?
