@JohnCornyn Correct. Nominating Paxton would be an extremely dangerous move. I was hoping that Trump had learned that he shouldn't endorse extremist candidates in GOP primaries (he got Vivek Ramaswamy and Ed Gallrein right!), but it seems that that hope was not realized.

I have worked closely with President Trump through both of his Presidential terms and voted with him more than 99% of the time. He has consistently called me a friend in this race. It is now time for Texas Republican voters to decide if they want a strong nominee to help our GOP candidates down ballot and defeat Talarico in November, or a weak nominee who jeopardizes everything we care about. I trust the Republican voters of Texas.

On a flight home to CLE from DC on @AmericanAir and the pilot came on and said “there’s a problem with the landing gear.” We are now heading back to DCA. “It shouldn’t be a safety problem” is all we’ve been told. Then why return to DCA when we were about 20 minutes away from CLE?
