Former US military and this is a very good idea. It is a chance to check communication ability between units and work together in many ways. one of the reasons Philippines was easily invaded by Japan is the US did not know Pearl Harbor was attacked until later and by the time we found out in Philippines, it was not possible to hit the aircraft based in Formosa (Taiwan) by Japan. Communication and logistics are pivotal in wars. It is why US has forward based logistics in Clark area. With the utmost respect Philippines has virtually little defensive capability for any foreign threats and needs to not onyl build solid alliances, but also increase their defensive capability. The latter cannot be underestimated, their military situation is dire for sure. The building needs to come from within, not donations, the corruption level within does not bode well for direct monies, rather the country needs to build independently using their own monies to ensure their own sovereign safety and security.

I can’t believe how lax the security was at the White House correspondents dinner tonight. Upon entering nobody asked to visibly INSPECT my ticket nor asked for my photo identification. All one had to do was flash what appeared to be a ticket and they were fine with that. When you consider you are entering a roomful of fake news media —90% of whom hate the President you would think they would have better security. This is what happened when what sounded like gunfire erupted. On the way out, I called-out a bunch of the disgusting Media who have been pushing hatred toward President Trump for years. They are a big part of the discord in this country.

Laughable statements. We have broken healthcare in America? America has terrific healthcare. The billing is a big issue for sure, it's horrible, but for quality of care it is amazing. Philippine hospitals are so poorly run I have no words. Even 2 months ago at Clark we got a CT scan of someone else results and all their information with it. I have had lost blood work, no communication from doctor to lab, no discharge papers from hospitals, fake medicines given out, et cetera. Philippines is the worst healthcare system I have seen and 26 countries under my belt and for that reason I left Philippines and we cannot live there even with unlimited money it's still below any country I have been to. Yes Americans are overweight for sure, me too, but we have freedom to do so as people have money to eat and while unhealthy it is their choice. America's obesity problem has nothing to do with the very generous donation of machines and medicines to fight TB and instead of being grateful, you attack the hand that feeds Philippines and Philippines is a world leader in TB and can use the help.

Well I have mixed feelings on this issue for my tax money with the massive corruption in Philippines. We donate these medicines and machines, then they will likely be sold there and get fees, that is the issue I have. I am pro Philippine people, but what I witness is such widespread corruption that I want this donation tracked to make sure it gets in the hands of the people, without fees/charges from the many corrupt people running things there. If I get a guarantee of that, I am all for it, but I would respectfully encourage an audit to see how people will profit personally on anything given there as even my donations people in government were trying to take and profit off of.

Maybe if Philippines used some of their own land and territory to drill and then make refineries, you folks would not to import oil at all. Combine that with project like a nuclear power plant that was abandoned, Philippines has boxed itself in and anyone in their right mind would not invest there. the sheer corruption I saw was staggering and I was investing 25-100M PHP until I saw how overly complicated processes were along with overt corruption that makes the Congo look good. It's very sad as the many good Philippine suffers due to their own government. To answer your question about US Approval, the EU and US, among others, have banned the oil from Russia to stop funding their military aggression. If it was up to me, I would not help Philippines at all with American taxpayer money-it enables more corruption from the Philippine government. I am very pro-Philippine people, just not the government there.
