4/5 The result that surprised me most: The genetic interaction networks in males and females are almost completely separate 🤯. 78 epistatic links in males, 72 in females. Only 2 overlap. If you ignore sex in aging genetics, you get the wrong answer. Full stop.

Totally agree. Academia should stop endorsing this behaviour by top (and smt non so top) journals. Is not fair to spent 2-3 years under review...many times to end up in a rejection after weird journal behaviours. They simply play with potsdocs' life's to earn massive revenues.

A year ago, Adelina applied to our lab through the VIDA call — a stellar Medical Oncologist with no bench experience. As a small lab, we had to say no. The next day she came back with an idea: apply for the ESMO Fellowship (deadline in 3 days!). Yesterday she received her award.
