Just received some horrible news. My brother-in-laws brother, who was a veteran and leo, took his life today. He lost his wife not too long ago and I can't imagine the hurt he must've been going through. Please pray for our family.

Feel bad for these fans, but not the team. What I saw in the first half of Game 3 when it came to the lack of effort boxing out (embiid has 1 rebound?) and Maxey trying to laugh it up with Brunson, I get why many fans sold seats. We can handle losing but not lack of effort/focus. That said, Knicks fans gonna piss off the Basketball gods with this arrogant as*hole-ry, it's gonna come back to haunt them, watch.

I can tell when you guys use AI to write your newsletters/articles/tweets for you.
While I use Claude a LOT, I still type my letters out so that they come from ME.
I wonder if this will separate my writing going forward, and if readers perceive human vs. AI content.

@TXMCtrades I think you've consciously been fighting confirmation bias for a long time. But it's also hard to see beneath the hood of anons. I have confirmation bias (as you do, too) and yet still love genuine thought even if uncomfortable. The impact may not be seen/heard, but it's there.

A good summary of the reported “ECC break” today. Regardless of how you feel about quantum, useful to familiarize yourself with the various ways these “proofs” can be spoofed.
Unfortunately we are all going to have to become quantum computing experts to sift through the real advances from sleight of hand.
Note that low entropy private keys can trivially be brute forced with classical computing, which appears to be the case here, and it’s unclear to me what the QC contributed here other than, effectively, acting as a very expensive random number generator.

Project Eleven paid 1 BTC for a "quantum break" of Bitcoin-style crypto. The quantum computer contributed NOTHING (noise)! The answer was recovered by a classical checker sifting random noise. I reproduced the whole thing in 20 lines of Python with no quantum computer at all.

You wouldn't believe how many folks outside of Bitcoin now think @adam3us is undeniably Satoshi.
As much as mainstream media is a propaganda machine and clearly distorts the truth (at best), it's clear that for 3/4 of people (maybe more), it's THE source of truth. At least for now.

My ophthalmologist uncle always told me not to get LASIK. I’ve had glasses or contacts since 4th grade so honestly I don’t even remember what it’s like to not need them. It’s never been an inconvenience to me at all. Seems like an unnecessary risk to do surgery for something so minor.
