I spoke to RJ Luis’ dad a year ago and they knew exactly wha they were doing - turning down millions of dollars despite the fact that he was unlikely to be drafted.

Yup, don’t confuse young kids by teaching them letter names or the alphabet song.
It’s doesn’t help them learn to read to call “w” “double you” or to call “c” “see”.
And letter names can confuse kids, eg does “r” say “arr” or “rrr”?
Just call letters by the sounds they make.
“m” is mmm, “a” is “aaa”, etc

We have to accept that we are no longer in a high-trust society where we can absorb the societal rot brought on by the occasional water cup being used for Sprite.
Indeed, we foolishly thought we were headed for a world where Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines would replace public fountain dispensers.
But that requires Trust within a Society. And those days are gone.
I have witnessed with mine own eyes the Homeless bringing in 64-ounce insulated jugs to empty out the ice trays and horde the Powerade from these machines. And thus the machines must be moved Behind the Counter.
(Once again, Chick-Fil-A is ahead of all others in foreseeing this future. In-N-Out will soon follow.)

🔴 @Delta is cutting in-flight service on 450 daily flights starting May 19, and frequent flyers are NOT happy about it. From that date, any flight under 350 miles in economy will get zero service. Nothing. Not even water. That covers a lot of routes people fly every single week for work. The old system had an express service on flights of 251 to 499 miles, which was coffee, tea, or water. That is now gone entirely for shorter hops. Now, to be fair, there is a flip side. Around 600 daily flights in the 350 to 499 mile range are actually getting upgraded from express to full beverage service. So more people overall will get a proper drink cart. First class keeps full service across the board regardless of distance. #Delta #DeltaAirLines #Aviation
