Focusing on the first E in our THEMES+ agenda, which is Education and Technology, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle sits on nearly 12 hectares and serves about 20,000 students across 36 schools, both primary and secondary. Before the upgrade, many of the buildings were in poor condition. Today, the entire complex has been rebuilt and expanded, marking its most significant transformation since it was established over 40 years ago. New classroom blocks have been added to reduce overcrowding. The facilities now include a football pitch, sports courts, a health centre, a fire station, and essential services like solar power and improved water systems. There is also a clear focus on inclusion. Dedicated buildings for students with disabilities have been introduced, along with lifts to make movement easier within the complex. A vocational centre is now in place, offering training in practical skills such as tailoring, plumbing, and masonry. With an ICT hub and a central laboratory, students are better positioned to engage with science and technology in a more hands-on way. Overall, the project creates a more supportive and functional learning environment for a densely populated community.

I can’t resist the urge to weigh in here, given my vow before God and man to always be there to save my dear brother @ruffydfire from his self-inflicted journalistic shortcomings. What I’m about to explain is publicly available material on Google: These are not different approvals. It’s merely different stages of the same process/program. The FGN has always made it very clear that the 4 Trillion Naira approval was not final. See this news, from July 2025: ‘The figure remains subject to downward revision, pending final validation. “While there is an anticipatory approval of this ₦4 trillion bond programme, it is subject to negotiations and final settlement of agreements. Only the amounts that the federal government validly owes are the things that will make it into the [bond] issuance…”’ Link here, via @vanguardngrnews: vanguardngr.com/2025/07/tinubu… What’s different now / what has changed since then is that, according to @NigeriaGov, those audits and negotiations have now been done and a final settlement of 3.3 trillion reached. And GenCos have started signing settlement agreements. And that’s not all, a first bond has been raised (see @ARISEtv reporting from January 2026), and payments have now finally started to Gencos and Gascos—which is what yesterday’s @NGRPresident statement was all about. Will never tire of telling my dear Rufai that social media energy shouldn’t just be for commenting/trolling, it should also be for research, otherwise one risks descending from journalism to jejune-alism. You have a right to disagree with any policy, and critique it, but this right shouldn’t be based on or fueled by ignorance or by an unwillingness to do basic research. PS. And you should take time to read AriseTV news from time to time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Jabi lake park Abuja was designed and constructed by the Obasanjo administration over 2 decades ago.The picturesque space is a hub for picnic, camping and recreational activities for Abuja residents. Its sad to see the land being caved out and sold.I don’t even know what they are constructing there. Those who bought the land in violation of the master plan should know that the approval of today will not stand the scrutiny of the future.

@SultanLuqman @Omotayo11510 That man tricked the elderly, musicians, the ordinary people. Almost everyone believed in that agreement except BAT. I think that is also one of the reasons they all hate him, including Baba OBJ himself. Beating him at his own game was unforgettable. Baba kọ láti san ọjọ.

@GlambabeVDA @Omotayo11510 From Lagos where I was based then, we were warning other Awoists in my state, Ogun, but when our elders, especially the man who stood to lose the most in the game as the governor kept saying "Aare ti assure wa pe...", we gave up and faced Lagos. The rest is history...🤷🏿‍♀️

The 1999 Alliance for Democracy primary at the D’Rovans Hotel in Ibadan was supposed to be the coronation of Bola Ige. As the Cicero of Agodi, the AD ticket was his by right and by merit, yet in a move that defied political logic, the party elders handed it to Olu Falae. It wasn’t a consensus; it was a masterstroke of sabotage. Obasanjo’s moles had already burrowed deep into the heart of Afenifere, knowing Ige was a titan they couldn’t topple in a fair fight. By sidelining him for the more manageable Falae, they cleared a path for the PDP's long-term dominance. When the dust settled, Ige was offered a ministerial consolation prize. He was deeply skeptical, but one man eventually persuaded him to take the leap: Bola Tinubu. According to Ige’s PA, Olu Agunloye, Tinubu didn’t just talk him into the cabinet; he influenced his specific role, pivoting Ige from Communications to the high-stakes world of Power and Steel. It was a gambit to prove the progressive cause, even as the personal chemistry between Ige and Obasanjo remained cold. The bitter fruit of that internal betrayal ripened four years later. In 2003, those same pro-OBJ operatives within Afenifere threw the gates open, allowing a PDP tsunami to level the Southwest. The political landscape was razed, and the old guard was swept away. Only one man remained defiant amidst the ruins: Bola Tinubu. The strategist who had refused to flinch, he stood as the last man standing; the same man who had stayed loyal to Ige when the rest of the circle had already moved on.
LEGENDARY J.O.E@LegendaryJoe

@Omotayo11510 I saw a side that the public hardly see and it paid off. Just imagine if he had been as relaxed as his peers? Ever since then, even if an elective post is unopposed, I will still campaign. My estate people know me for that. I don't do "don't worry, you have won already."

A Spanish boy 🇪🇸 was rescued in the village of Daɗin Kowa in Doguwa Local Government Area, Kano State. Alex Ansol, a 16-year-old, arrived in Nigeria on March 30, 2026, via Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, with four of his siblings. However, he became separated from them while traveling from Jos to Saminaka. The boy speaks English, is slim, dark-skinned, and has no visible tribal marks on his face. He gave his address as: Barsa Rub, Opposite 46 Stadium, Spain. The police are working to locate his siblings so they can be reunited with Alex. Anyone with information about Alex’s siblings or family should contact the Kano State Police Public Relations Office or the DPO of Doguwa Division, Kano, at this phone number: 07038363421. He is so ignorant and loud as expected. Just like those who spitefully tagged the Gateway Airport a white elephant project last year. Let me educate him as I educated them. We are not just celebrating another airport in Ogun State, we are celebrating an Aerotropolis, a masterplan which follows the global model. I am sure he hasn’t heard that before. You guys won’t appreciate the plan now, but you will within the next 10 years. Surrounding the airport you have: Gateway Aviation Village: A 300-unit housing scheme. The residential backbone. Nigerian Customs training school and forward operating base. That is a strategic federal security establishment. ARISE Integrated Industrial Platform (IIP) Project. A >$2 billion garment & textile industrial hub. Forming one of the largest manufacturing clusters in Africa, with a capacity of 4.4 million garments daily. That is the industrial engine. There’s also the Iperu Industrial zone. Special Agro Processing Zone (SPAZ): backed by AFREXIMbank and ARISE IIP with an initial investment projected to be around $400m. -The first AFREXIM African Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) for Agro Export standardization is located around the Ogun Industrial/Agro belt, which is in proximity to the airport. The airport itself is currently the most technologically advanced airport in Nigeria. The first-ever airport in Nigeria, and still the only airport to be granted the Aerodrome Operational Permit. 50 cargo flights before the end of the year. It’s not by na me first do am. What is your plan after constructing the airport? To build hotels and clubs around it, which only has booming visitors once a year, or to build something that will boost productivity to help your state achieve its greater plan of becoming the China of Sub Saharan Africa? Enjoy your sold out European tour, chief

@blue_resolve @__MUHSEEN__ @Andreiandrei888 @SirJarus It is not a common experience in the FCT because majority of the land is owned by government. If you buy land in the hinderlands from the chief, if someone is already using the land for farming (which is common), you pay the person off and it based on empathy & negotiating skill.

"Life So Harsh In Abachaland" — P.M. News, 1996 "Today, many Nigerians are angry with the Abacha regime because they are hungry, particularly because the high cost of living has made nonsense of their income. "The average Nigerian worker is dying daily and gradually without any succour from anywhere. Most workers during lunch breaks now buy fried groundnuts and supplement it with water. "The typical Nigerian worker today is so sapped that he cannot afford to save money for rainy day. He lives from hand to mouth. "And what is more pathetic is that landlords increase rents at will without any justification for it. Coupled with that is the amount of money an average Nigerian spends daily on transportation."
