@noam_dworman @EliLake @nickgillespie He’s my favorite and I figured you’d have encountered him in the Village. I actually met him at a midway at a fair last year. He stood out like a ruby in a black man’s ear.

1/2 Little taste of a music podcast I did with @EliLake and @nickgillespie. We discuss our favorite musical moments. I AI'd SINATRA's lead and played along with my guitar. His vocal here is a little known gem. Coming soon...

I can’t describe how dispiriting it is to have this sociopath who just learned about Judaism declare that those of us who’ve lived this tradition our entire lives are not real Jews because we interpret our history to mean we should oppose oppression rather than embrace it.

Read the following from the NYT & ask yourself one question: When else in history did a genocidal foreign occupying army warn residents not to harbor members of a religious community that they seek to eliminate?

@roddreher I’d think “Orthodox Christians” would refrain from such piffle as posting on X on such a holy day.

@TheNewTrueBlue @mtracey Compared to what!? It’s been 4 years in Ukraine and Russia still lacks air superiority. The US did it in 1 week over Iran. Iran needs the straight to be open. We don’t need their oil now. It’s not 1972. The Hormuz is not a USA problem. I

@GoldTeeth_II @mtracey It’s not that Iran now looks powerful, it’s that America now looks weak. To maintain an empire you need to project prestige and total power. Once the illusion is gone, the empire crumbles. This is America’s Suez crisis.

The most cogent point of the evening: other nations should "go to the strait and just take it... it should be easy" -- but also, the strait will soon "open up naturally... it will resume the flowing." That was a really solid point.

@TheNewTrueBlue @mtracey Oh. Enemies look at Iran and say “jeez Iran seems very powerful.” That’s an idea Iran invests 500 billion dollars and its entire economy in a nuclear program and proxy war strategy and loses both in 32 days. Sounds powerful

@GoldTeeth_II @mtracey Except America has lost vital interests in the region, such as the petrodollar, Gulf allies who own $1T of US stocks and bonds, and most importantly the veneer of military preponderance that keeps enemies at bay.

Israel’s illegal plan to occupy southern Lebanon would cover almost one-tenth of the country and bar some 600,000 people from returning to their homes. trib.al/LHbbZIS

@noam_dworman @EliLake @nickgillespie It’s seems like @ProfessorPape was making a contradictory argument: The US was mistaken for short-term thinking in its bombing of Fordow this summer. And NOW Pape will only posit short term solutions that may have the same massive implications that US planners overlooked.

Wait. So you're saying you're NOT a convicted pedophile? Is this you in the 1st screenshot? Is the conviction for the offense of "unlawful contact with minor" NOT accurate? If it is...are you familiar with the definition of pedophilia (pic 2)? Because it seems to be a fit for your convictions. But I fully understand why that might be a sensitive topic for you - as it clearly seems to be. Do you prefer to identify as a registered sex offender instead? Because it's my understanding that this is a designation for life (pic 3). And listen. If you think veiled threats of physical violence are going to intimidate me, you clearly have no idea with whom you're dealing. Even so, that's not actually what this discussion is supposed to be about. If you insist on bringing up shit that has absolutely nothing to do with the substance of this engagement, you're not the only one who can do so. But, that's not why I'm here on this platform. I can talk shit & call names & so on if warranted based on the situation, but that's not what brought me here @X & it's not what the focus of my content is really all about. And tbh, I actually don't give 💩💩 about your sexual tendencies (past, present, or future) or criminal record. Some readers may consider that to be important context, but for me personally I'm more interested in the substantive discussion. So, as...enlightening as this exchange & our previous one has been, I really do have better shit to do with my time than trade insults with the likes of you. As such, I'm going to give you ONE LAST CHANCE to offer really...well, anything at all of substance to this discussion. No hype. No rage bait. No ad hominem attacks. And no more bullshit. If you can't manage that, it's off to the block farm with you. You can take your bile somewhere else. In case it would be useful to have a prompt to get you back on track, here you go: You said, "When a suspected war crime is committed, there is a duty and responsibility to inform the public." I responded that what you should have said is "civilians are protected from being made the object of attack 'unless and for such time as they take a direct part in hostilities'" and because this was an attack reportedly directed at a civilian DPH, "no 'suspected war crime' means no 'duty and responsibility to inform the public.'" In case it's useful to have a refresher for what US doctrine indicates on the subject (even though we ARE talking about an @IDF strike in 🇱🇧 but okay), I've attached AGAIN a relevant excerpt from the DoD Law of War Manual. Now, over to you. With just one bit of substantive insight instead of your usual hostile drivel. Your substantive response to my main point is..." [fill in the blank here]". Go.

@BrianCox_RLTW My challenge to the ostensible lawyer: Call me convicted pedophile to my face. Not only are you legally incorrect. But there are consequences to actions done in person that don’t manifest themselves behind the cover of a keyboard.
