She was found tied upright on her bed with her own clothing. Her hip was broken, causing fatal internal bleeding. Her granddaughter, Melissa Garcia, had visited her the day before and captured their final moments together. Melissa had given Ina a new recliner as an early Christmas gift. Ina called later that night to thank her. “She loved people,” Melissa said. “All she wanted to know was, did you know the Lord?” Melissa now regrets not talking longer on that last call. Cordell Wilson, 33, was arrested days later while breaking into another home just two streets away. This is heartbreaking. An innocent 85-year-old woman who lived for Christ, viciously attacked in her own home. Pray for Ina’s family, and pray for justice.
