breaking #DesperadoEngine up to work more efficiently with jobs/fiber, like IDTech 7. I've got a good chunk of the model loading, materials, and composable render setup for fiber. Not much more to break up there until I have custom loading instead of using Assimp loader.

To be fair, I hadn’t when I posted my reply. I did after, and to give credit to @MickWest, parallax when flying can be really confusing so we’d ideally be able to access whatever data there is on the flight path of whatever drone or otherwise captured the footage. I still don’t think it’s a balloon, nor do I necessarily think it’s anything unusual. I don’t know what it is, but it looks odd.

When I was at Codemasters, I became part of the ex Evolution Studios team, the same people behind Driveclub, working on the rendering side. It was a real pleasure being among them. They were incredibly strong rendering engineers, and after seeing their work up close, it completely made sense why Driveclub turned out the way it did. The sad part is that before that, I was at Sony. My devkit had Driveclub on it, even my chair had an Evolution Studios logo on it. After Sony shut the studio down, I ended up working with what was left of their equipment and legacy, and it was a daily reminder of how that decision marked the end of a very talented team.

Hey @XPlaneOfficial I'm the author of an upcoming @OpenXR runtime for MacOS that brings PCVR on Mac. It works today with Quest. I'll release the runtime on github. I tried to force OpenXR on MacOS but it doesn't work, I suspect that it's because OpenXR is not linked with the executable and because the checkbox is disabled. I can give you an early access to the openXR runtime if you want.

@TimSweeneyEpic while VR is still a niche market, there is no Store for standalone VR games to sell non-Meta Quest VR games. With more standalone XR/VR HMDs coming to the market, it's becoming clear that such independent (from Meta) store is needed to accommodate standalone VR games. Epic Games could be the one who provides such store and platform.
