🚨Nearly 28,000 parolees are untraceable. Gone. Missing. Many of these are violent criminals, now walking free, putting the public at risk. Pieter Groenewald must not hide behind excuses. He must act today to find these parolees, bring them back before the law, and hold every official accountable who allowed them to disappear. The DA will not accept a system where criminals roam free and communities are left to pay the price. A DA-led government will implement electronic monitoring, proper supervision, and real accountability.

One major difference here Ryan, when Steenhuisen said he inherited the mess we accepted it then he proceeded to crap all over the mess and go full blown central planner. The mess that then deepened is his doing.
You're trying to pin blame on a minister not for his plan to fix the mess but for the mess he didn't cause.
Dishonesty runs deep in the DA I see.

Delighted to discover from the far right on X that “I inherited this mess” and “officials have let me down” turn out to be perfectly legitimate explanations for government dysfunction. I look forward to them applying this approach consistently in future.

It can not be stated enough just how bad this messaging is from GHL:
- the FF+ is a natural ally of the DA, not a foe
- it is well known that the DA has lost support to the FF+ because of Steenhuisen’s behaviour, but this will not convince a return
- opinions vary but many consider Groenewald to be the best Minister in the GNU and not any of the DA Minsters. Attacking him comes across as jealous and petty
- the issue being raised by GHL was not created by Groenewald or the FF+, but he is trying to sort it out. Imagine this logic of attack being applied to Macpherson who still has no control over thousands of assets of state owned infrastructure, or Schreiber who has numerically done nothing to stem/reverse illegal immigration
- criticizing someone outside the DA for holding a “talk shop” is very rich when the DA does this exact thing often
- lastly is that Helen Zille will likely be the Mayor of Johannesburg by year end. Just imagine all of the things she will not be able to fix in her first 2 years - GHL just opened the floodgates on hammering her without rebuke
Whomever advised this as a strategy needs to be fired immediately, and the DA really needs to learn how to predict the future consequences of their words and actions better. My goodness.

I have long since developed a dislike in Geordin Hill-Lewis, and he seems to prove why over and over again. This perceived attack on @GroenewaldPJ does not sit well with me.
One thing I know:

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, a coordinated attack on Minister Groenewald and the @VFPlus because the party is becoming very popular and is outshining the DA.
So instead of speaking internally with John Steenhuisen and the other ministers who are doing terribly, they decide to instruct their social media team to distract people from the dumpster fire that is the Department of Agriculture.
I think anyone with a functioning brain can see this for what it is, and once again the DA are showing its true colours. Instead of holding Ronald Lamola accountable for his utterings or any other minister in the GNU, they decide to attack the best-performing one.
The Desperate Alliance is on full display.

First John Steenhuisen attacked previous previous Freedom Front Plus leader Dr Pieter Mulder blaming him for Foot and Mouth disease. Now Geordin Hill-Lewis blames the previous Freedom Front Plus leader Dr Pieter Groenewald for parolees who absconded since 1991. Know your DA. The ANC must be very proud !!

Off course the @MYANC @EFFSouthAfrica @Action4SA will vote against investigation. It's assumed they control/prescribe to the @RSASIU and @NPA_Prosecutes who should be charged. Why are they even voting? if all the evidence is there, arrests should follow and suspension without pay
