A week after @LHSCCanada mandated masks in clinical areas to stem the rapid rise of #COVID19 that mandate is being isn’t being followed this morning at a major clinic at University Hospital where most patients and caregivers wait unmasked near an empty box for surgical masks.

There's a bigger problem in our society, @sflecce, when children have to rely on schools to provide them with breakfast.

@Sflecce But therein lies part of the problem. Schools have been asked to take on so much more than education with so much less. We will gladly feed, clothe, nurture and educate our future leaders. All with the hopes that those children will be better, kinder people than you have been.

We will use every tool at our disposal to keep schools open. Children should not pay the price for an education union's desire for higher pay. It's just not right.

It is only the end of the second week of school and yet I'm hearing of a few tvdsb elementary schools that have already run out of photocopy paper. How can teachers run proper programs without proper resources? #onted

@mildanalyst Except…we never have enough custodians to do regular cleaning let alone extra cleaning in schools. We are getting some ventilation upgrades, but won’t be done until November, if everything from supply issues to strike action don’t interfere. We can’t make sick kids wear masks.
