Tate Adamiak should never have been imprisoned over collectible items and parts kits that ATF improperly classified as prohibited weapons. Being a collector is not a crime, and this abuse of the NFA must be reversed. Free Tate Adamiak.

The Second Amendment Foundation, together with the NRA, Firearms Policy Coalition, and private plaintiffs, has filed McDonald v. Katz challenging Virginia’s newly enacted ban on ‘assault firearms’ and magazines capable of holding more than 15 rounds. The law, signed today and effective July 1, 2026, criminalizes possession and transfer of commonly owned semiautomatic rifles with common features and standard-capacity magazines.
