The forex "market" technically doesn't close until 5:00 Eastern today ... but FTMO and other prop firms shut down yesterday, because today is a holiday in many Western countries. The problem here is that many customers didn't know they were closing yesterday evening, and unknowingly got stuck with open bets which they thought they would be able to close today. Many other prop firms and many foreign exchange brokers were open today. And while I would normally have no sympathy for someone screwing up and holding their trade over the weekend (past Friday at 5 PM Eastern), this case is a bit different, since people are unable to get out of their FTMO trades today, even though they want to.

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.  Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion. They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us. This was not a drill. This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans. Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst. Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends. The American people deserve to know how badly this president has damaged our standing in the world.  bbc.com/news/articles/…

@John_Zannis Well, he got called for the offensive foul (as he should have), so if that call goes against him a couple more times (which it should), I'm betting he'll stop trying it and the problem will solve itself.

This is what people mean when say “unethical” hoops. This is simply not Basketball. Try to stick your arm underneath someone else’s to make it look like you got hooked. No real effort to try and get by them. Call it crafty if you want, I say it’s lazy.

Yeah, great fucking idea ... lodge a whole bunch of complaints against prop firms, and then they get regulated and shut down. I don't give two shits about this guy, and I'm 99% sure the guy wouldn't be a profitable trader on a real live money account, but be careful what you wish for, because anyone who used to earn from sports betting will tell you that legalization / regulation of that industry was not a net positive ... and the same thing could happen here.

Ooof. I think it’s illegal to promise future returns to close a deal isn’t it ? @FTC @CFTC @Jigsaw_Trading @ChairmanSelig @SECGov Regulators need to an audit. And these stupid ass firms should be ashamed of themselves. Mommy is for the people.

NEW: Las Vegas judge shoots down petition to lower murder charge against a man accused of killing an 11-year-old boy in a road rage incident. The rejection comes as 23-year-old Tyler Johns allegedly laughed at the victim's family in court. Johns is accused of shooting 11-year-old Brandon Dominguez-Chavarria on the 215 Beltway last year. The man allegedly fired his weapon when he and Brandon's stepfather were jockeying for position on the freeway. During a court appearance this week, District Judge Jacqueline Bluth was seen grilling Johns about an accusation that he smiled and laughed at Brandon's family in court. "I don't know what happened... I was told you were smiling at the family, laughing at the family, and calling them names," Bluth said. "If it did happen, it will never happen again."

@speculator20221 @chessdunk @IBKR I couldn't connect through through Tradingview at all, so I tried IBKR Desktop, and as I was logging in, it asked once again for me to complete the API Authorization, which I did. After that, I was able to log in through Tradingview again.

I think I know why it might have happened to me. There was some kind of form about API Authentication that I was supposed to sign when I logged into the Client Portal a couple of days ago. I was in a hurry, so I passed over it, figured I'd do it later. Apparently, that might have been enough. The worst thing is, for some reason, they cancelled my Stop Loss on the live trade that I was in, but didn't cancel the trade itself (let that one sink in). Luckily, the trade went in my direction a bit, so I was no worse for wear. I still stayed on the phone, on hold, after that, because I was going to give them an earful ... but at the 2.5 hour mark of being on hold, I threw in the towel and hung up.

Haha. It's almost impossible to contact their live chat on a normal day. Let's just say that it's a good thing they have low fees/commissions, because their service is horrible, their various websites are horrible and very difficult to navigate, and their in-house trading platforms are horrible.

@speculator20221 @chessdunk @IBKR They apparently cancelled my order, and now it's saying I'm still short 150,000 Euros, but the problem is my base currency is USD and it won't let me switch it back. On hold with them on their "emergency number" lol. I'm going to assume that they have to fix it, in the end.

Airline pilot here: I’ve made a few posts, for posterity it seems I should combine them so here goes: I guess I should lead with the fact that I know LGA really, really well - And having 1 controller working both ground and tower; late… on a Sunday is straight up normal. Anything you’re hearing about a controller shortage is BS. Should there be 1 guy working? No - But it’s been that way as long as I can remember. Second, if you listen to the audio. You can hear the controller try to stop the truck. Which means a few things. The truck took too long to cross after the initial clearance was issued. In LGA shit happens quickly. If you can’t execute you’re immediately stopped. So looking at the truck. He took too long to cross.. which means that he was either in the wrong position when he first called, or he was going too slow. BOTH are wrong. That’s problematic. So if you listen to the guy IN the truck.. he’s nervous. Classic low confidence read back. What that says to me? He was in training. Let’s investigate that a little further? If the fire department was going to train someone… you’d do it when it’s “quiet” right? Well, LGA is never more quiet than late, on a Sunday - You starting to see it yet? Now, the controller. Was task heavy already (being by himself) working two frequencies in low weather. But again, nothing new there. Especially that guy. I recognize his voice. He’s a rockstar. He can handle it if anyone can. Now… BEFORE the incident with the truck. It’s important to understand the truck was rolling in response to an emergency. There was already a United flight that had supposedly aborted a takeoff due to a fume event on the other side of the field. Usually not something they roll CFR for, BUT if you listen to the earlier audio it’s pretty apparent the United flight crew was basically losing control of the cabin. The flight attendants were running that show. The United pilots, then respond by (incorrectly) pressing the Controller for a gate - That’s important to recognize the United crew was pressing the GROUND controller. Because it’s important to recognize that ground IS NOT in charge of gate assignments… so the United crew was pressing the wrong controller, which then put him (the controller) into a spot of trying to coordinate FOR THEM because apparently they don’t know how to do their jobs. The controller. Went from task heavy to what we call “task saturated.” Add that little fiasco into the truck moving slower than it should’ve been… poor radio discipline on the truck… We’re starting to create a scenario, yeah? Now finally the flight crew. Could they have gone around? Should they have gone around? Now we’re getting into Monday night quarterbacking. Yes to both… in hindsight. The reality is. The weather was low. So maybe they couldn’t visually verify that the truck had crossed. I will say, defacto; a go-around is always an option. Until It’s not. And it’s not once the reversers are out. So to be at 100kts ground speed… the reversers were out. To see what they saw, you’d have to be in the plane with them or re-create it in a sim. I will also say.. the truck. DEFINTELY SAW THE LIGHTS COMING DOWN THE RUNWAY. So, as usual. Multiple things played into it. …it’s never just one thing, right? But… There’s gonna be a lot of focus on the truck -

I'm quite sure that there's an inverse relationship between how much money a trader has made with prop firms and how good of a trader they are (or would be) on a real-money brokerage account ... the dudes who have made the most on prop firms, I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of them would not be profitable real-world traders. This is evidenced by the fact that almost every big prop firm trader cries and moans when they inevitably get the e-mail from XYZ Funding telling them they're being "upgraded" from Funded Sim to Funded Live.

Just wanna check with the community with regards to @Tradeify elite live program help.tradeify.co/en/articles/12… Article says it was updated yesterday, but was the 5 payout requirement there all along, or was it just changed yesterday? I remember we had a threshold of 100k withdrawals on SIM before we are considered live. The live program has 2 main benefits which are 1. Daily payouts 2. Bonus payouts upon reaching certain milestones but it comes at the cost of 1. Forfeited profits 2. Having to build buffer with EOD trailing drawdown again, even though you've already done it in SIM, unlike live programs at other firms where you start live with a balance and drawdown that doesn't trail To make it worse, only funded accounts that has made it to a payout will be transitioned, otherwise it'll simply be closed. I have done just 7 x 4.5k payouts with @Tradeify , and have 28k profits across 3 accounts, which Im eligible for another 3 x 4.5k payouts pending another 2,3 and 4 winning days. One of the accounts have not made it to any payouts before So I'll basically be given just 2 x 4.5k EOD trailing drawdown live accounts, when I was on the verge of making 13.5k payouts with another 3 x 5k as buffer/balance that doesn't trail anymore If this is true, @Tradeify has got to have the worst live program out there because @MyFundedFutures pays you out 50% of the profits up to a cap, before moving the rest to live @fnfutures same as MFFU, but with no caps @TradingLucid let you choose to withdraw payouts up to a cap, or moved live with the capped profits @TakeProfitLLC Best firm in terms of moving you live, enough said @TradeDayFunding - pays you out before moving you live, no profits forfeited No comments on the rest, as I haven't got to live with them Im still waiting for the official email, but support did confirm I am being put to live. @GandalfTrader please correct me if I have understood anything wrongly, because that is what I have gathered from conversation with support and the FAQ, thank you To be very honest, I really feel like if I had only 1 or 2 pending payouts instead of 3 x 4.5k, I might not be moved live and would actually be better off with some payouts at least. Can't help but feel this is all happening so I wouldn't have to be paid😆

Why? Because you're not at the real-money stage ... you're still in simulation ... and the longer you stay in sim, the longer it will be until you get to the real-money stage ... if you limit your max to 0.5% or 0.25% or whatever you're suggesting, it will take you forever to make it out of the simulation stage, even if you win a bit more than you lose.

Now we can understand why you never see negative posts about @FTMO_com If your payout gets denied and you talk about it publicly on social media they just ban you. Problem solved, right? Silence the trader, protect the reputation. Best prop firm indeed.💀 #propfirmmedia📈
