I was sitting at the table with teachers at the @NYCMayor #PublicSafetyTownHall where over 60% of the table agreed that we needed to ask "when are you going to #restorethecuts?" It was clear that was what the community wants and needs. @DianaAyalaNYC @Kristin4Harlem @galeabrewer

With mayoral control set to expire today, sources say Gov. Kathy Hochul is requesting lawmakers send her the bill extending control of city schools for another 2 years, but not the accompanying bill to reduce class sizes that is opposed to by Mayor Eric Adams.

Superintendent drama in NYCDOE sounding like purposeful chaos

My union robocalled every member to vote for a governor who won’t sign a class size reduction bill. That is on her desk. And will sign a mayoral control bill for a mayor who just slashed the school’s budget while increasing nypd’s budget. @UFT @KathyHochul @NYCMayor
