I don’t think giving an individual the ability to mass block based on these parameters actually goes against any principle (I would block via web as well). I don’t doubt that misinformation is happening within the US as well, but being able to scale down and gauge accounts within ones own allowed regions would be much more convenient in being able to filter a lot of this garbage out.

@HeartOfBabel @JackPosobiec @elonmusk That goes against the principles X was built upon. Showing user origin was a good start to filter. I think it comes up "via web" if it's a VPN, which is a possible red flag as well, but this is happening from inside the US.

youtube has rules around conspiracies. Specifically they restrict conspiracy claims and amplify what they call authoritative news sources Why is youtube boosting these videos in the algorithm? Why does the machine want this narrative so badly?

If you want to get amplified on youtube and X all you need to do is claim the official story of Charlie Kirk's assassination is a cover up and there's a conspiracy Why is social media amplifying this so much? Why does Big Tech want this narrative to be front and center?
