@Spilot23 @frank_seravalli A 2nd is an overpay for what Murphy is now. He's not really a second pair guy anymore but he can be a consistent veteran on the third pair. He's hurt often, not much offense at all, doesn't skate well. Big body who can be physical at times and play positionally in a system

@heatdaddy69420 I'll start by saying that Chicago had an all time L in the saad/panarin trade, but this is exactly why they did it in the first place. that CHI/STL playoff series Panarin was allergic to the middle of the ice and much of a non factor. empty points that series. this looked similar

@RapSheet Seems to define all logic. TL was just getting his feet wet as a starter in NHL and they gave up a boatload of draft capital to get him. He got injured. so did Purdy to his throwing arm. he may not be right after it, why not have a camp battle first to be sure?
