The great thing about For All Mankind is it's a wokecore premise executed by old-fashioned nerds. The social progress part of the alt-history is taken as read at a certain point and then they just move onto the asteroid heists of it all.

@YoungerPope @afrocosmist They’re going crazy, but not that crazy. Much of S5’s premise has leaked, it’s gonna deal with mars becoming more than just a colony of earth superpowers, and the first missions to the outer planets.

@afrocosmist I think it’s gotta be season 5 FTL, season 6 first contact. That’s my hope anyway. A full 6 season story about how you get earth to something approximating Star Fleet (even if they’re unwilling to do the disasters on Earth that would make that happen)

this show has had a hell of a run. the only other comparison for long-running sci-fi TV that i can think of is something like X Files, Stargate, or Star Trek. every sci-fi show now gets cancelled after one or two seasons
