@JerryCrise @DAKKADAKKA1 On one of Conan’s final Tonight Shows, same exact premise, executed way better. Covering songs does not require anything but royalty fees. Conan used the actual recording of “satisfaction“

@AllieJade1 This is far more common than you think. At least this customer left it in a refrigerated area. It's the ones who leave perishables on a random shelf, or delicate produce in the freezer, causing them to get destroyed, that get me upset! A complete disregard for people's property.

Why do people do that? That's a 128 dollar piece of meat. It's supposed to stay refrigerated. If you don't want it, go put it back! Am I right?

@thecapitalisimo @QuetzalPhoenix Paramount owns CBS.... SONY owns the majority shares of the Peanuts library.... Apple+ has the exclusive rights to the Peanuts streaming library from SONY... That said we licensed a Vince Guaraldi track for YT in 2015 and they only charged us $250... it's not that expensive

Stephen Colbert got his band to play licensed music during his final show so CBS would be sued for using the music illegally. “Oh no! I hope this doesn't cost CBS any money!”

Explaining not defending: Sysco carries many non-food supplies at a great price. Further, there Is much on a farm to table menu you simply can’t source locally, especially in Michigan mid spring. Cream, butter, olive oil, salt, died herbs and spices, flour (probably), citrus fruits, pasta, rice, soda.

We’re watching the lumbering hulks of reterritorialized modernity attempt to jettison the last vestiges of their anthropomorphic origins A monstrous egregor liberating itself from its human host

The system has taken on a life of its own and is struggling to break free of the people who built it. Now they are forced to justify their existence to it or be replaced with more conformable biomass.

This man robbed a bank for $1, sat down and waited for the police, just to get free healthcare in prison In 2011 a man named Richard James Verone walked into a RBC Bank in Gastonia, North Carolina Handed the teller a note demanding $1 One dollar Then sat down in the lobby and waited calmly for police to arrive He was 59. No job. No insurance. A growth on his chest. Two ruptured discs. Calculated that a federal conviction would guarantee him full medical coverage inside prison The judge sentenced him to 3 years He got the surgery He got the treatment He told reporters on the way out he had no regrets A 59 year old American man robbed a bank for $1 because it was cheaper than seeing a doctor

An unexpected consequence of accidentally starting this business is that I’ve become a bit of a defender of a fed gov agency, specifically the USPS. Never saw that coming. We have a 99.993% success rate with the USPS with over 3200 orders mailed. For smaller packages like ours, they are less expensive than UPS. Our town has a post office. I can walk right in the back door and come and go as I please. They provide me with a rolling tote when I need it. They hold our incoming when we ask. Everyone who works there is a neighbor. I like to think that our shipping costs are kept a little bit local rather than completely farmed out of town. We have no UPS Store within 30 miles. The closest thing we have is a drop box outside of a clothing store 10 minutes away. Won’t fit much. I don’t have time to wait around for (and I won’t pay for) a scheduled UPS pickup. We do use UPS for larger wholesale sized packages. Better rates and UPS handles big stuff better. FedEx is a non-starter for me. It has tanked since Fred left. Ridiculous rates on small packages. Every delivery driver is an immigrant who can’t speak English now. CEO and most of the board have Star Wars names. The distro centers are where USPS screws up. Those are in the cities, so what do you expect. Yes, using USPS means packages may take longer to get to you and the tracking may look screwy. Yes, there is no doubt that they could do better. But for us, there is no better option.

In his final show, Stephen Colbert admits he was, in fact, getting trounced in the ratings by @greggutfeld. Neil DeGrasse Tyson: Two contradictory realities cannot coexist without rupturing the space-time continuum. Colbert: Like what? NDT: For instance, if the show is #1 on late night and it also gets canceled. Colbert: They canceled 'Gutfeld'?!

Interesting how often you see the South talking about the North in one form or another & practically never see anyone from up here talking about them at all.

Are northerners that move there bad? Is it a historical thing? Something else? I’ve never in my life heard anyone up here even mention the South in regard to anything.

Sheron, a 69-year-old Army veteran, is known in the Escondido area for all the Trump and USA flags he has at his home. His wife, Maria, says she believes he was targeted for the displays, according to the California Post. 32-year-old man Thomas Caleb Butle was arrested for the horrific attack and is charged with attempted murder.

internet food purist: why do food companies have to make their foods with additives?! they should make them all natural! me: why don’t you grow your own food then and not worry about it? internet food purist: i don’t have the time to do that. you know how long it takes and how inconvenient that would be? i should be able to get what i want from the grocery store! me: the grocery store is great. it offers you the convenience you need, but the tradeoff is the food companies need to be able use methods to have their foods produced, distributed, and shelved to provide that convenience, or else the grocery store model and convenience wouldn’t be possible. internet food purist:

I know where shes from and exactly what store she would shop from...shes also paying 9.75% in local and state taxes on her bill. To feed 9 ppl burgers she needs 4 to 6 lbs of meat according to google. They are heavier ppl so go with the thought it will be big burgers. I did the math with all the fixings and a 12 pk of dr peppers and shes not exaggerating to much. It comes to 84.49. But shes wrong. It would cost her way more than that eating burgers out. Me and my daughter can spend 40 dollars on 2 burger meals with the tax.

Continuing the WTF are people doing to feed themselves and their families discourse, I have no idea how this woman could spend $90 to make cheeseburgers at home. It costs less per person the more people you feed. Just bizarre commentary. Mostly she just sounds burnt out. This would take me 30 min and $30 (less with sales).
