Yesterday, I chaired the @HouseScience Environment Subcommittee hearing on NOAA’s FY27 budget request. I’m encouraged to see targeted investments in the National Weather Service and the Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, including funding to modernize our fleet of weather-tracking vessels. As we continue to rein in spending across the federal government, we must keep NOAA focused on its core mission: protecting lives and property. I appreciate Administrator Jacobs’ engagement and look forward to continuing this work for Floridians.
