The public DONT back this bill though. They back a bill where the High court has to approve every application for assisted dying. Kim Ledbetter removed that over a year ago.

Utterly misleading of @PaulBrandITV @itvnews, @Ipsos_in_the_UK. They splashed that the public support the Bill. It was on the basis of the High Court approving every case! Only revealed because @PigsAndPolling chased for underlying data. This is unethical!

I think all opposition parties should not attend the next PMQs, what’s the point? He never answers questions. Make a stand and boycott the next one. Let him talk to himself!

Why do rich people always fundraise by asking poorer people to donate to charity?
Perhaps if you paid your taxes and paid workers a real living wage there would be less need for charity.

@HumanTakens @ZackPolanski Yeah, that looks like the problem we have locally. It wasn't well implemented at all. However, properly installed insulation etc is beneficial.

This could have been avoided.
Failure to insulate every home, end reliance on fossil fuels & decouple energy prices from gas left us exposed to energy shocks.
Now we must act:
Cap bill rises after June.
End fossil fuel addiction.
Lower bills, permanently.

Whether people are terminally ill or suffering from depression, humanity can and should always do more to help people live their lives in comfort and happiness.

@HumanTakens @ZackPolanski I can't see the article. There is a part of Preston which is notoriously bad for having poorly installed insulation and many problems. I was at an affordable warmth forum earlier this year where some people said prob cheaper to rebuild than repair the properties involved

It is really good to see someone of Stevens authority in the NHS , dismantling these very dangerous and irresponsible proposals to introduce suicide on the NHS.

@AdamPollock The optics of a physical fitness instructor threatening a group of elderly people who don't want to be tricked or coerced into trotting off this mortal coil for being unfit are remarkably awful. And 'assisted dying' isn't really Kim Leadbeater's bill. She's doing it for a friend.

The arrogance of Kim Leadbeater is absolutely astonishing.
Saying that a thousand-year-old legislative chamber is finished because it rejected a terrible piece of legislation proposed by someone who has been a Member for Parliament for five years.

I think we have to accept that Keir Starmer is 100% scandal.
Nothing will take him down other than possibly electoral oblivion on 7th May.
Seemingly every other day a new lie or scandal is exposed and we are stuck with him
It has exposed our democracy whereby we are governed by a political party no longer has any moral right to be in power.
I am still arguing for one fifth of our MPs to be elected every year rather than all of them being elected every 5 years.
We would have already had the opportunity to vote out a huge number of Labour MPs with another 150 seats up for grabs within a few months.
Surely it would be a better way.

I voted in favour of the Assisted Dying Bill.
I share the disappointment felt by many today, whilst also recognising that others will be relieved at this outcome. We must now move forward as a country to ensure that everyone in Scotland has dignity in dying.
