Transnational Organized Crime Network Dismantled By Canadian Police And FBI A joint cross-border investigation involving Peel Regional Police, the Canada Border Services Agency, Surrey Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has resulted in 17 people being charged with a combined 109 criminal offences linked to organized crime activity. Investigators say the charges include 11 counts related to extortion, along with numerous firearms, arson, conspiracy and breach-related offences. Police allege the investigation targeted individuals involved in violent criminal activity operating across multiple jurisdictions in Canada and the United States. Authorities said six firearms and quantities of ammunition were seized as part of the operation. Investigators also confirmed that none of the accused are Canadian citizens.

The thing that gets me about this story is that, as incompetent as the British police now undeniably are, there is no possible way they did not notice that the guy they were putting in handcuffs had been stabbed multiple times. So let that sink in - you can be stood there, visibly bleeding out, and they'll cuff you simply because some random non-white person who just stabbed you accuses you of racism. No proof needed - just the accusation and immediately they'll put the cuffs on your half-dead corpse. It has never been more clear how much the British establishment hates and literally wants its own people dead.

Iron clad double standards A few years ago, we were sent this lovely cast iron skillet. I was writing an article reviewing safer cookware options for home kitchens. While most comments were positive, someone lamented how imprudent it was to spend so much on a piece of cookware. My wife noted, this same person was very into wood working. Not professionally, but as an interest. They had dozens of tools.... each of which cost equal to this pan. And many that cost more. But you see, John, that is a prudent use of my resources, and yours... well yours is not . I have witnessed this for decades. The person sipping a $8 drink and a $6 pastry says how irresponsible the person who gets a few new pieces of clothing each month must be. The lady with the red light mask therapy and premium body care products can't believe the deep home library of that woman's family with thousands and thousands of dollars of books (and vice versa...) The guy who spends premium money on a gym membership and supplements speaks down to or about the guy who spends a few bucks a week on a game he enjoys. The photographer who just dropped $1200 on a special lens is appalled at the person who just picked up a $400 piece of gym equipment. It's an insidious form of pride. Of specks and planks and double standards. My hobbies and my interests? Well of course, they are good and worthy and important and wise. But others? Well of course that is wasteful or indulgent or a bit silly, don't you know? It's sometimes hard to spot... and harder to repent of. But repent we must. Learn to appreciate the interests of others, instead of seeing them as some sort of self-righteousness competition.
