Becerra just tried to blame the sponsors — the same ones HHS is supposed to vet — for thousands of migrant kids going missing, some ending up working overnight shifts in slaughterhouses and dangerous factories. Translation: HHS never bothered to check if any of these kids were safe after they walked out the door. His own words gave it away: 'That part occurred after these children had left the care of the Department of Health and Human Services.'"

Amnesty will not do. We must deport ALL illegal aliens. Americans voted for Mass Deportation.
Mike Howell@MHowellTweets

241-193 is the breakdown in the US House when it comes to amnesty. With the @ProbSolveCaucus joining in support of @MaElviraSalazar amnesty bill, the Dignidad Act, we should recognize the real threat at the door as the mass deportation agenda is under fire. @Phase2Deport

End OPT! For that matter, phase out all work visas. But start with OPT, which can be done without Congress, and punishes enterprising young Americans like Gabe...
Gabe Guidarini@GabeGuidarini

Eliminating the OPT program would prove to a generation of young Americans that we care about their job prospects, national security, and their tax dollars. This is an opportunity to show that we act upon what we say.

I am outraged! @AliMayorkas can go on podcasts and rewrite history, but my daughter Katie Abraham cannot speak because policies he helped oversee put her in the grave. Along with @GovPritzker, they created conditions where people here illegally faced little deterrence and the Katies of this nation paid the ultimate price. I am demanding the DOJ investigate Mayorkas. Why is this man still treated like a respected public figure? There is no accountability, no shame, and families like mine are left with graves instead of answers. Hey @politico I’m still waiting to hear from you about our family’s story and the role this man played while he continues trying to clean up his image. Katie Abraham was a better person than Alejandro Mayorkas ever will be, and she should still have a voice about how she lived and how she was sacrificed for political power and failed policies. Anyone still claiming immigration under his watch was handled properly is putting party and ideology above reality and above American lives. We should never have to hear from this man again. Just go away already. You have done enough damage.

Mayorkas says that he disagreed with Biden admin immigration policy — and suggests that border security should’ve been tightened sooner: “There were areas of disagreement within immigration policy…but I voiced my views." "I was very pleased that in June of 2024, we took executive action that I thought made reforms that were sensible." This is the same guy repeatedly assured the country that the border was secure. Now he wants a history rewrite.

Rep. Chip Roy Press Office
.@DailyCaller: "Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy attributed the skyrocketing rise of Islamism around the world to 'expansionist' legal immigration policies during a Wednesday hearing on Capitol Hill. Roy laid out Islam’s growing foothold across the globe, including his home state of Texas, which has seen a surge in Muslim immigration and Islamic communities. But rather than simply blaming illegal immigration, Roy said legal migration is also a major part of the problem." dailycaller.com/2026/05/13/chi…

@Heritage_Action Leader Thune apparently has realized there’s a problem!
Immigration Accountability Project Action@iaproject

The level of hypocrisy here is unreal. @LeaderJohnThune apparently has just discovered that noncitizens are voting in our elections, and he considers it a “five-alarm national security fire.” Weird, since @SenMikeLee and @chiproytx, among others, have been talking about this for years and wrote the SAVE America Act to solve exactly this problem. Obviously, Leader Thune is more interested in raising money than solving problems.

Why would anyone on an ostensibly temporary visa be allowed to get a mortgage at all, let alone a taxpayer-subsidized one?
Robert Sterling@RobertMSterling

During the Biden administration, H-1B visa holders were buying houses with 97-100% financing. 97% would come from the FHA, with the rest coming from state first-time home buyer programs. Zero money down. Thanks to programs that were supposed to be helping low-income American families buy their own homes. FHA loans to non-permanent residents quickly grew to represent 6% of mortgage issuances. The percentage was undoubtedly higher in places like the DFW area, where H-1B visa holders are disproportionately concentrated. I don’t have anything against people in America on H-1B visas. I’ve said it before—and I’ll say it again—that I’ve found many of them to be great people on an individual level, and I wish them all nothing but the best. Individual immigrants—especially those here legally—are not at fault for flawed US immigration policy. But this might be the most radicalizing thing I’ve ever seen. Not only are American workers forced to compete for jobs, they’re also forced to compete in the housing market against people bringing 0-3% of a house’s cost to the closing table, versus the 10-20% most people have to pay. First, companies import mass numbers of H-1B visa holders, largely in "back office" white-collar fields like IT and accounting. This essentially imposes a lower ceiling on domestic wages in these job categories. Next, these workers—who are generally concentrated in certain geographic areas—create more demand for housing (especially in good school districts), driving up home prices and the cost of living. Then, to top it off, they don’t even have to save up money for a down payment. They can close on a $500k house with $0-15k plus a 97% FHA loan. Meanwhile, ordinary American families are forced to come to with $50-100k for the same down payment. I don’t care how you feel about Trump or what your preferred immigration policies are; there’s no defending this. It screws over hard-working American citizens several different ways over, and it’s yet another reason why I will always be glad Trump won and Kamala Harris lost in 2024.
