The GCC countries can deliver lasting peace and stability to the region by issuing a historic joint declaration that they will no longer host U.S. military bases on their soil.
Their leaders possess the economic leverage, political authority, and popular support necessary to make this decision.
They must stop mimicing the tone and rhetoric of U.S. politicians, cease importing agendas crafted in Washington and Tel Aviv, and end the strategic alienation they have imposed upon themselves. Above all, they must recognize that genuine security never be restored so long as the regional environment is shaped against Iran.
Instead, they should work toward forging a strong, inclusive regional bloc that fully integrates Iran’s resources, demographic weight, geographic depth, internal resilience, and strategic resolve - anchored in a genuinely indigenous collective security framework.
Only this path offers the prospect of a durable and self-sustaining peace.

BREAKING: Trump's "Project Freedom" collapsed after Saudi Arabia and Kuwait suspended US military access to their bases, airspace, and overflight rights, per NBC News and Ryan Grim.
The Kingdom blocked the US from flying aircraft out of Prince Sultan Airbase or through Saudi airspace, completely grounding the operation and removing the air defense umbrella protecting ships in transit.
Saudi leadership was "furious" after Trump announced Project Freedom on Truth Social without notifying them. Qatar and Oman were also blindsided, with Trump only contacting them after the operation began. A direct call between Trump and Crown Prince MBS failed to resolve the situation.

The undisputed valor of our troops and the tactical brilliance of our military operations do not equal strategic success.
If they did, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Yemen would look very different today.
We can bomb and blockade Iran, or get dragged into something far worse, but none of it will force Iranian leaders to behave the way we want.
We can accept this reality now and clearly define what our actual interests are in the region, or we can be forced to accept it later—after losing more American lives and trillions of taxpayer dollars.
Yes, our military can sustain operations and crush any enemy in nearly any battle (while losing the war). But to what end? What’s in it for the American people?
It's foolish to think we can keep launching these senseless foreign interventions and maintain our status as the world’s most powerful nation.
This is the glaring blind spot that our foreign policy has failed to address for decades.
