Our Sukinda and Mahagiri Chromite Mines made a strong mark at the Annual Metalliferous Mines Safety Fortnight Observance 2025 Prize Distribution Ceremony, held on 14 March 2026 under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), Bhubaneswar Regions 1 & 2. Together, both mines won a total of 22 awards across various categories and also secured 1st place for Overall Performance. IMFA Mining BU Head @sandeepnarade received the awards. The ceremony was graced by Ujjwal Tah, Director General, DGMS, along with senior officials, including Shyam Sundar Prasad (Deputy Director General, DGMS), Awanish Kumar Mishra (Director of Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar Region-1) and N. An important milestone was achieved today with the tapping of hot metal from the first furnace at our KNR 2 unit. Access to basic healthcare can make a real difference in people’s lives. IMFA, in collaboration with BIPF, organised a Free Health Camp at Choudwar recently, which saw an encouraging response from the community.
