First one isn't in any early hadith collection nevertheless the main 6 ones. Second one is obviously weak, with no chain. The chain of narration is not good, that is just a lie. Third one also isn't authentic. Hisham bin Saed is weak as was said by Yahya bin Maen, and weakened by an-Nasai. Abdul Rahman bin Abi Awf is unknown [said by Abul Hasan al-Qatan al-Fasi] and wasn't known to be a narrator of hadith. Technically out of context, since it's just Arab culture that Arabs would give thirst to the children like that when they're dehydrated. Not defending that by any means but the claim is that its "homoerotic". Clearly not. Even if hypothetically all three of these were labeled as "sahih", they still wouldn't be authentic to the historical Muhammad due to several reasons already shown in modern hadith criticism.

@theGoldenAge64 @BaytAlHikmah1 first off, do you know the kids refuse to wear it? most girls i knew growing up in my family were excited to wear it at a young age and wanted to emulate their mothers. second, kids can refuse stuff that's good for them. havent you ever seen kids refuse to clean up or eat, etc?

@BaytAlHikmah1 That's basically forcing the children to do it!! Introducing it is forcing it, do they listen to kids when they refuse to wear it?

@IsmailRoyer and the name of the main character in Guys n' Dolls - he goes by the nickname Sky and the reveal of his real name - "Obadiah" is a big moment in the musical 😁

Interestingly, the name of the Biblical Obadiah עֹבַדְיָהוּ (also considered a prophet in Islam) is the same as the Arabic name Abdullah عبد الله . The Arabic cognate of the Hebrew "Obad" (servant, worshipper) is "Abd." "Yah" is the short form of "Yahweh," i.e., God, i.e., Allah.

i suspect that once all the hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of ahadith with all their chains and tradents are digitized and icma is performed on every single tradition ever recorded we shall not be closer to recovering the precise words of the prophet than we are now

I have searched near and far for any parallel concept about Interest/Usury being ubiquitous at the end of times or near the apocalypse in jewish and christian texts. I have not found any examples.

@o0o_o0o_o0onice @refuting_kufar yeah. and interestingly, this issue of solar eclipses validates our isnad system and puts pressure on the claim the gospel authors were writing accurate history

Jesus is alive (Luke 24:51) Enoch is alive (Hebrews 11:5) Elijah is alive (2 Kings 2:11) Who should we worship?

@refuting_kufar @o0o_o0o_o0onice Yeah. I think Mark just describes it as a darkness, and you can get away with it being more of a supernatural event maybe. But Luke makes it more explicitly a solar eclipse, and so it is a historical difficulty in the text

@IanCook321 @o0o_o0o_o0onice Yes. That's how some church fathers understood it. But the problem is, the eclipse mentioned by NASA was a Lunar Eclipse. That too, a partial Lunar Eclipse. Lunar eclipses cannot possibly cause darkness and they are only visible at the night time. The Gospels describe a Solar one

@o0o_o0o_o0onice It's not a “commonly held position”. Atleast not among critical historians. Scholara would generally assign the crucifixion a vague timeline, perhaps early 30s. Matthew doesn't say anything about the moon. He only mentions darkness during the crucifixion which was in the day.

Like van Kooten, I am also convinced that John is one of the earliest, if not the earliest, Gospels. At the very least, a substantial proto-John existed around 60 CE. As soon as I am done with my ongoing Islamic and cognitive scientific projects, I will write on this issue.

@BasedDostoevski @abduallah_amin mongols were one people, and were not working or communicating together with others to attack muslim lands. this is purely a modern phenomenon, at most only a couple hundred years old. and never before have muslims been this weak and this numerous and this non practicing

@abduallah_amin Nobody really made any points in your defense lol. "Muslims being weak" is not true, we were objectively weaker (or just as weak) during the mongol invasions or during the height of western colonialism. Just blatantly false claims you're making

People have literally throughout time always claimed that somehow all prophesies are just coincidentally coming true is exactly THEIR time. What does "numerous" mean here? Why is 2 billion "numerous" but not 1 billion? And why not 3 billion? Have some restraint.
Abdullah Amin@abduallah_amin

This is a prophecy from the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, we are living through it today exactly as he foretold: more than two billion Muslims, yet we are like the foam on the floodwater, weak and unable to help our brothers as they are killed and starved around the world & in Palestine.

@locS022 @IsmailD99870399 @GodLogic_GL what type of meta ethics did Abraham subscribe to? How did he come to the realization that sacrificing his son was a morally okay thing to do?

If you ever wondered why Muslim apologists start boiling inside when you bring up moral objections to Muhammad, this is why. On the outside, Muslims pretend that Muhammad is the greatest man ever. Deep down inside, they know they're better than he is.

@locS022 @IsmailD99870399 @GodLogic_GL yes. the abrahamic faiths are divine command theory based. abraham was instructed to violate his most fundamental moral intuitions and kill his own son. God allowed for something to take his place as a mercy, but the lesson is whatever God commands is just and correct
