I’ve been saying two things in response to the fossil fools calling for more drilling in the North Sea - both are cutting through. First is we don't set the price of our own North Sea oil and gas, second is we have very little left, around 10%. More drilling can't help us with this energy (price) crisis and the idea of some kind of oil self sufficiency for Britain is a fantasy. Now comes this revelation - the hundreds of licences the Tories issued, over a 14 year period, in pursuit of this fantasy - resulted in just one months worth of gas being produced. Her LinkedIn profile lists her as "Registered Nurse at Maria Mallaband Care (MMC) Group Ltd" in Crewe - a private care homes provider (not #NHS). This is the only direct claim tying her to a nursing title. In August 2022, a job as a Care Assistant with MMC in Crewe was advertised. In September 2025, a care home in Slough was told it must improve after an assessment found it had breached five legal regulations. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited it in May, triggered after concerns were raised about staff bringing their children to the home while working and potential implications and risks for residents. The MMC Group runs the home. Multiple independent searches of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register (the official UK regulator for nurses) by members of the public found no "Vicky Shaw", nor any Victoria Shaw based in Crewe, listed as a registered nurse. In the UK, "nurse" and "registered nurse" are protected titles—you must be on the NMC register to use them legally.
