@LiamHalligan @Telegraph What our government desperately needs is someone like you that understands the implications of spending our money like there’s no tomorrow! It’s a shame you don’t have your own program on @GBNEWS they messed up there imo.

Most people in the @Conservatives are not yet willing to admit this publicly but it is time to face reality - @KemiBadenoch is failing as leader. The party is in a worse position than when she took over and there are no signs of recovery. My piece for @ConHome on why it is time the Tories followed Labour and confronted its own failing leadership. 🔗 conservativehome.com/2026/05/18/lee…

Increasing long-term investment in social housing. Speeding up remediation to make buildings safer. Making things fairer for millions of leaseholders. Transferring power out of Westminster. Protecting our democracy. This government is delivering for the public.

I’m v glad to hear the breaking news on the BBC News channel that the Prime Minister is not going anywhere and that if people want a different PM they should use the process of the Labour Party. He won the election, he has the mandate, he’s a good leader & he should stay PM.

I remember when the bin bags were taken out from the back of your house tied up and new bags put in them! Nowadays they can’t even manage to put them back on the grass! Maybe they get a cheeky kick leaving them in the way 😂

@TrisOsborneMP As a business owner of over 20 years I can tell you that businesses are dying on a daily basis. The business estate I moved into 8 years ago was thriving, today it lies mostly empty because you doubled the business rates.

Right … Reform is going to cut welfare and so far found £20 billion of cuts. But… The U.K. is already borrowing £130 BILLION a year, just to stand still. Welfare with pensions is over £330 BILLION a year. Without pensions it’s £145 BILLION. So a £20 billion cut doesn’t touch the sides. Huge structural reform of welfare is needed because it’s only going to increase as the population ages, Ai takes jobs and unemployment rises. And cutting the cost of energy doesn’t fix the system or long term growth. If he told you the real truth you wouldn’t vote for him. And if Reform win and he tries to tackle, it he’s right, there will be more than strikes.

Latest on the UK economy before the Iran conflict... - NEW today: borrowing: falling, down by £20bn last year - inflation: falling - unemployment: falling - interest rates: 6 cuts, more to come We were making good progress, and had set ourselves up to be more resilient against shocks with £24bn headroom and support for families, taking £117 off bills.

We're lowering bills and increasing our energy security. Reform's answer is always more expensive fossil fuels. Someone needs to ask Farage & Tice how bills would go down when oil and gas are sold on global markets? Reform will do nothing. Labour are acting to lower bills.

We’re banning bonuses for energy company bosses who break the rules. For too long our energy market hasn’t worked for families and businesses. We’re changing that. lbc.co.uk/article/energy…

They think we are stupid. The Iran war will become the excuse for every failed Labour policy so let’s just fix Rachel’s post from this morning. War is NOT responsible for … ▪️Employer National Insurance increases raising hiring costs ▪️Frozen tax thresholds dragging more people into higher tax bands ▪️Minimum wage rises increasing business operating costs ▪️Higher public sector pay settlements adding fiscal pressure ▪️Regulatory and net zero compliance costs passed into bills ▪️Business costs feeding through into higher consumer prices ▪️”Stealth tax” effect from inflation + frozen allowances ▪️Increased borrowing pushing up long-term tax risk She could easily bring prices down and has chosen not to 🤡
